We were excited to stay at Belle Marivent while we were in Majorca for a wedding but sadly - overall - we were left disappointed. Firstly, the positives - the reception area is gorgeous, and almost lulls you into a false sense of security. Smells lovely and looks lovely and actually Lucia on reception was really great. The rooftop pool is also great, albeit extremely small with barely anywhere to sunbathe. The hotel itself just gives the overall feel it is very understaffed and is doing anything it can to save money. The rooms are crammed into an extremely tiny area - your sink is practically at your bedside, there is no bathroom per se but just tiny rooms of a shower and a toilet. Breakfast is really awful. All three mornings they had 'run out of yoghurt because it went off'. With a supermarket down the road, they could have easily replaced this. There was only one waiter in the room on each morning. This meant the (extremely limited) buffet frequently ran out, and was not replaced unless you got up and walked to the kitchen/bar area to ask the waiter/waitress to replace it. The jugs of water were empty for around 15 minutes which was really frustrating. When ordering a hot breakfast prepare to wait 20 minutes for it to come, even if there is literally no one else in the restaurant. Another shocking moment was when I called reception and asked for a small jug of fresh milk to have with my self made coffee from the coffee machine in our room, as I really dislike the tiny long-life milk pods. I was told sorry there is no fresh milk. I asked whether I could just be brought some from the kitchen - to be told that the restaurant is not in fact connected to the hotel at all. Just found this baffling, as I've never ever been refused some fresh milk at a hotel before. The coffee cups in our room were also dusty and unclean. Lastly, while the man on reception and Lucia were great, the cleaning staff were extremely rude. We were getting ready for a wedding that started at 2pm so naturally we were showering/getting ready at 11am. The cleaners repeatedly banged on our doors insisting they needed to come in. When we said we needed another 20 mins or so, we were met with eye rolls and sighs. I understand it must be frustrating as they have a schedule, but it is also a very small hotel. All in all, I would say the Belle Marivent is absolutely not worth the price we paid. A few glimmers of greatness but overall a disappointment.

We stayed in Barcelo in Dominican Republic and we are really happy with the brand in general since then. We chose the Barcelo Illetas Albatros due to this experience and they didn't disappoint. Due to the low season, there were some small hiccups with the service we received but it was a comfortable stay after all. Here is a detailed evaluation of specifics: Welcome: We arrived around 8 p.m. and we were welcomed at the reception. The reception staff usually stays at the back and come out if you are waiting for service but overall they are quick and welcoming. There was no mention of My Barcelo benefits which made us think that the hotel is not paying attention to it at all. (e.g., there was no free water in the room). The room: The bed is really really comfortable. I would want that bed in my apartment. The room is also very clean with nice high quality towels. The mini bar is filled up but there was no mention of the pricing apart from the QR code. I thought the sweets were free and ate before I realised the pricing. Also the curtains in the room were a bit dirty and needs to be changed a bit more often. There were some issues regarding the room though. There was a garlic/toilet mixed smell coming from the bathroom after our 2nd night. The ventilation in the room wasn't great and the A/C was only heating and not cooling (due to winter season I guess). So we requested a room change. The hotel interiors: Really clean everywhere you go. It offers everything you would need on a city break or even a summer holiday (however we were there in winter season and couldn't use the outdoor pool or private beach). The private beach area could use some care since it is quite dangerous to walk around there with slippery rocks and stuff. Restaurant: The food is good and fresh. They have omelettes freshly made for you in the mornings and grills in the evenings. The salad buffet is a bit limited and the food gets redundant after 4 days+nights eating there but overall happy with the friendly service and healthy good quality food. Location: We rented a car to see around the island so the location wasn't a concern. But there isn't much to do if you don't have a car and it is winter season. The bus service to palma is quite frequent though. The parking is not free at the hotel but the nearby free car park just worked great if you don't mind climbing up the stairs from there to the hotel. Overall: Had a good stay. There are some minor hick-ups but we felt safe & clean

We just had the best 5 nights at Hotel Linda. The food was great, friendly staff and the rooms were basic but clean. We were a large group and the hotel looked after us well. The location was great, short walk to the beach and easy bus route to Palma. We'll definitely come back.

A good four stars. Hotel close to the airport (taxi 14 euros, no ubers in Mallorca). I was lucky enough to have a terrace room (first floor room) where you walk from your balcony directly onto the terrace overlooking the pool. I reckon these rooms are best unless you're obsessed with a sea view in which case go above 5th floor. Hotel breakfast is good- lots of choice. Also an inexpensive cafe / bar on poolside with very friendly staff. The hotel was peaceful when we were there- slept well and beds pretty comfortable. Very very close to the beach- 3 mins walk - and then you're on the beachfront which has an almost unlimited abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars. One cautionary note about the restaurants nearby - be careful with the reviews many look to be inflated / fake so choose carefully. Lots of mini-supermarkets - the best within 5 mins walk is carrefour express.

I genuinely can't understand what we were charged 560 EUR per night for. To start, we arrived at 8 a.m. and were told there were no available rooms. I understand that check-in officially begins at 3 p.m., but I've traveled extensively and stayed at various hotels worldwide where I was able to check in earlier. I'm not sure what determines this policy. Eventually, we were given a room around noon, though it was a different room type. Since we had traveled all night, we accepted this. Secondly, the breakfast... I’ve stayed at many 4- and 5-star hotels, and this was certainly not a 5-star breakfast. It wasn’t that much about the limited selection, but the quality. Everything tasted bland. From the oily scrambled eggs, oily omelet to the bruschettas drenched in oil, nothing was flavorful. It felt as though the hotel was cutting costs by serving basic buffet items like sliced carrots and beetroot, carrot cake, and inedible pastries. We came to celebrate my birthday. My husband asked the hotel manager for assistance in arranging a birthday surprise for me, such as flowers or a small cake (which he was, of course, willing to pay for). The reception mentioned that flowers will be problematic, but assured him they would come up with something. The next morning, nothing happened at breakfast, and nothing was delivered to our room throughout the day. It wasn’t until after we returned from dinner in the city that my husband briefly mentioned his disappointment to a staff member. Only then did they bring a cake from the kitchen, with the excuse that they had planned to deliver it late in the evening. But who eats cake at 11 p.m.? The room was stylish and nice, but the shower door design was poor, causing water to flood the dressing area each time we used it. The beach at the hotel is small and public. While the view is pleasant, there’s no privacy. I believe this is common for beaches in Mallorca. The pool would have been a good alternative, but the water was freezing throughout our stay, and we didn’t swim there once. The hotel claims it’s about 400 meters from the marina. However, this is only true if you take a narrow, dangerous path behind the hotel, along the edge of a cliff, and then another cliff and beach. The views are great, but the route is neither safe nor convenient. The other way is a 1.5 km walk up and down the streets. Taking a taxi is a better option. On our last evening, we asked for a packed breakfast since we were leaving early, before breakfast hours. Instead, food was delivered via room service but left outside in the hallway because we had a ”do not disturb” sign on. No one notified us, and we only discovered it as we were leaving. Had we known they would deliver the food to the room, or that room service was available before 8 a.m., I would have ordered a proper breakfast, not just apples and juice meant to take away. The fact that we have stayed at this Hotel three times this year says it all. The Hotel is immaculate, the breakfast is superb with so much choice. The rooms are clean and spacious, pool and bar area are great. The new Sky Bar is an added bonus with amazing long distance views! What makes the Tomir a cut above the rest is the super friendly staff who are so helpful and professional. Special thanks to Carmen, Nico, Darwin and the rest of the team making it a pleasure to stay at the Tomir.

Good location, the beach is just across the road. Lots of stores, suppermarkets, restaurants nearby hotel. A2 Express bus from airport to hotel one way €5, only 1 mins walk from stop to hotel. Breakfast and dinner are with reasonable choices, good enough to make you full but not quite tasty. Plenty of fresh fruits which is awesome. Seaview from hotel restaurants and rooftop pool is lovely.

If one wants to visit the El Arenal Area of Palma de Mallorca, the Hotel has the ideal location. It is easy to reach by Bus A51 (only two stops from the Airport), which already departs at 5 a.m. in the morning on the way back and therefore making it possible to reach flights departing at 6:30 a.m. without the need of an otherwise expensive Taxi. 10 minutes stroll to the beach. Receptionist on duty was from Austria, therefore she spoke, besides Spanish and English of course, fluent German - which is quite common in Palma. The room was big and clean with a comfortable bed and a powerful A/C, but the walls are really thin. One can hear everything that is going on in other rooms as well as outside.

We loved staying at this hotel. Our room was very big, the bedroom separated from the living room. Gorgeous view of the sea, and nice balcony. The service was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was huge, with many fresh choices. Everyone was very friendly at hotel, and most spoke English. Great Old Fashion cocktail at the bar. We enjoyed the food at the poolside bar. I had the hamburger and my husband had the Power Bowl. Very tasty. Rent a car because nothing is close by. Netty helped us book an awesome sunset cruise on a catamaran. Highly recommend this hotel!
