Hotel booked for two nights as part of our tour. We wanted to get to know the Olympic Riviera, which is a popular alternative to the Greek islands... The reception was very warm, unpacking the car was a bit tricky at first as it was a traffic-calmed zone, but once you know the rules it was easy. Parking was a bit difficult. You had to walk a bit. The hotel is in the middle of Paralia in the first row by the water. We booked a sea view and got a room on the top floor with our own terrace and a fantastic view of the sea. The room was spacious, not ultra-modern, but comfortable. Everything you need was there. Nice shower for sure! Air conditioning doesn't blow over the bed. The hotel has a mini beach with eight of its own loungers. In the afternoons in summer it is in the shade of the hotel due to the east-facing orientation. The breakfast buffet has a large selection and the staff are happy to fulfill special requests for hot drinks. Late checkout was possible as there was no subsequent booking. Very accommodating! Overall, if you want to combine the Olympic Riviera with a nice hotel, it is definitely a good choice! About Paralia itself: You either have to like Paralia itself or not. The entire infrastructure is very touristy. We didn't find any really good restaurants after two days of searching, or you probably have to drive a long way out... In Katerini, 10km away, Freud convinced us at lunchtime with its snacks and atmosphere. We didn't like Paralia itself so much, but that was not at all due to the hotel, which with its service and appearance should be one of the upscale hotels in the area. It was just too busy for us, loud and rather cheap tourist offers, not very touristy quality. The beach itself was nice though... If you want to go to the beach and avoid the Paralia hustle and bustle, you should try the beach clubs further north on the beach. Also suitable as a stopover for a few hours if you are just passing through. The loungers there cost a bit of money, depending on the club you choose, but the really high quality of these loungers (especially the wooden loungers including cushions), the peace and quiet and the service offered including paid drinks/good food if you want, are all very pleasant. We liked the beach between Paralia and Korinos the best on the entire Riviera, which we travelled from the south, starting in Neo Pori. The Almira and Mandala clubs are the most exclusive (sunbeds cost extra).
