Thank you to the Hotel Magellan for upgrading our room to a courtyard view during our 12-night stay in Paris. Our room was absolutely immaculate with a big window that opened up to the courtyard. The bed was so comfortable and the air conditioning was amazing. Breakfast was pretty good and we were able to enjoy it outside in the courtyard most mornings. Although the breakfast was a buffet, the breakfast room had wonderful staff that attended to our every need such as bringing us fresh coffee, orange juice, etc. The rooms in the hotel do not have fridges, which we found very challenging during the hot summer days. We weren’t able to bring any food to our room and had to drink warm drinks most of the time. Luckily there was a supermarket around the corner where we were able to buy cold drinks. The hotel had a little bar downstairs but the price of drinks was expensive compared to the supermarket. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and a little far from the major tourist attractions (the closest attraction was the Arc de Triomphe at 1.2 km away). At first, we were a little upset for booking a hotel so far away but once we learned the metro and bus system, which didn’t take us long and is super easy, we were just a ride away from everything. The biggest plus is that after a busy day of sightseeing in Paris amongst thousands upon thousands of tourists and noisy traffic, we were so happy to come back to our peaceful area. The only drawback to staying in a residential area was that there was nothing to do at night - no shopping, no nightlife, restaurants were so-so and closed early.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel in the Ternes area of Paris as I was exhibiting at a trade show at the nearby Congress centre. For this the hotel is perfect as it is just a 5 minute walk away. It is also located close to the Metro for getting around Paris. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and my room (No. 301) was comfortable and a reasonable size. Bathroom was clean and the shower was perfect. The decor and ambience of the room and hotel in general was nice too. The only issue was that I had not internet access at all over my whole stay. In the end I had to use a WiFi Hot-Spot from my mobile phone in order to get internet access on my laptop.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I found it on *******. I booked one night and a second night a few days later. My three night stay on the middle of our vacation fell through, but the gentleman at the front desk was able to Fit us in and we stayed a total of five nights. The staff could not have been more accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I would definitely stay here again! The rooms were nice, quiet, clean, and safe. It is a great location. You can walk to a metro which will get you anywhere into Paris. It is also about a 15 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. I will definitely be back.

Good value for money, considered a very good hotel in France. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the Eiffel Tower and more than half an hour to the Arc de Triomphe. The room is larger than the one in the old town. But the service is average. The restaurant is under maintenance and the breakfast is stale and has not been changed for four days. There is free mineral water, juice and hazelnut spread, but the drinks were not replenished in time

It was very good. The staff was very kind and kind to us who didn't understand the words. Breakfast was delicious, with bread, juice, yogurt and cheese, although the number of items was small. It was also good that cheese and yogurt could be taken out of the refrigerator. Coffee and tea were always said to be good to drink during my stay, but tea was delicious with leaf. The metro station and bus stop are close, and RER is not far. There are many restaurants and super Marquette. I don't know the security because I don't know anything else, but I wasn't afraid to walk around at night. The price is reasonable and there is no complaint. When staying in Paris, I would definitely like to stay here next time.

Close to Metro Line 3, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Free coffee☕ and water are provided on the first floor. Breakfast mainly consists of bread🍞, yogurt, cheese🧀, eggs🥚, juice, etc. Check-in needs to be after 15:00. If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage at the front desk. The room is very small and has a bathroom and shower room. It is difficult to turn around. Others are very satisfied.

I was debating between a 4 or 5 star review but had to go with 4. The hotel itself is located a short 3 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and the Metro station. The property is very nice and the staff was excellent, English was really spoken as were many other languages. The breakfast was excellent, I'd recommend the package with breakfast included. Two reasons for the one star reduction. First, the hotel has 2 elevators. One was foam when we checked in and had been for some time. Having one elevator in a hotel with 118 rooms becomes problematic at busy times and we waited for 5 elevators more than once. It looks like either the elevator was damaged by water or mechanical or a renovation was planned, but.. I think it was the former as a renovation is done and workers are present and the situation scheduled. This was just a sign and apologies. The second issue was one evening we came back to the hotel from a day out all day to find our bathroom had 1 towel, not a full size but a bath mat sized towel. We were informed their towel service didn't return the towels that day. We baked and a second small towel showed up but, that was not well planned out. The GM did apologize profusely, but it seemed like poor inventory control to hand zero stock on hand. Otherwise, great location, fantastic staff, rooms are decent sized and well appointed. Ask the staff for recommendations on restaurants and cafes, they are all knowledge

The room is clean and ok, the bathroom as well. The breakfast is perfect and the stuff is very willing to help. The location is closely to the Metro station, so all in all everything fine and for sure a good recommendation to stay!

The hotel is in a really nice position very close to the metro station of Jaurès that can get you basically everywhere. The place was clean and there is the chance to leave there your luggage if you come to early for check in or if you need to leave it after check out. That earns the 2 stars in my review. Unfortunately this was probably my worst experience in a hotel. Checking in I was told that we got an upgrade and, instead of our view on the city we got what is supposedly a better room facing an internal wall. I must say that I am not sure if that was really an upgrade because it didn't feel like it - and this makes me wonder what would have been a regular room. Rooms are poorly insulated and I could hear perfectly what was going on in the rooms next to our. The cleaning was good, but unfortunately the cleaning lady forgot to close our door and, when we came back to the hotel in the late afternoon, we found the door open. The only answer we got when we reported the issue was ”oh, that's not good” - indeed it isn't. Growing up in a similar business I have been taught to do what it take to make happy your guests and I found odd that I couldn't get a couple of spoons when I asked for them (”breakfast is closed now so we don't have spoons”). All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The price doesn't match the service.

My husband and I stayed in a Superior Double Room for two days at the beginning of March. We had a wonderful view of the park and the Eiffel Tower. The room is beautiful to look at, but a little damaged in some parts (for example the shower). The biggest problem of the room was the ventilation system, as it smelled of the drain several times. The cleaner does her job, as she cleans the room daily, but the problem is exclusively ventilation. I might also point out that you can hear the chairs being moved in the bar in the room. I would also suggest that a different choice of breakfast be made every day, as it was the same breakfast twice. However, I would like to conclude by praising the staff, who were friendly at all times.
