I will NEVER stay here again. + Room is spacious + Frontdesk & bar services were friendly - I booked for a family room with private bathroom (as attached is the bathroom photo). The look of it is terrible, water temperature is fixed, and have to keep pressing the button after every few seconds to get the water flowing. There's only 2 small hanger behind the door. No toiletries holder, we had to put them on the floor. No toilet bowl in this bathroom, we had to use the public one. - The street to walk back to this hostel from the metro seems dodgy. The pedestrian path was shallow, had to walk pass drunken people and the homeless. We didn't dare to go walk on the street when it gets dark. We had to take Uber home every night. - The common kitchen area at the hostel is dirty! - One of the lady worker at the breakfast buffet was bossy and unfriendly to the hostel guests.

One of the cheapest accommodations during the Olympics. It also included breakfast. The breakfast included croissants and cereal, orange juice and hot drinks. It was very good. There was a shower room in the room and the toilet outside the room. I stayed in a multi-person room, but it was single. Bed, nice.

2024.04 I stayed in a women-only dormitory for one night. It was a clean and comfortable stay. There are lockers in the room, but you need to bring a padlock if you want to use them. They showed us instructions in Japanese when we checked in, and all the staff were kind. It was also helpful that they could store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety and was delicious. It's a little far from the city center, but it's close to La Chapelle station on Metro Line 2, and a short walk away is Stalingrad station on lines 2, 5, and 7, so it was convenient to use those stations when it's a hassle to transfer. I didn't walk around after dark, but I don't think the surrounding area is that bad. I'd like to stay here again when I come to Paris.

It was the first time I stayed in a youth hostel. I was a little apprehensive, but it went well, and I really liked the fact that breakfast was included in the night (which is also very affordable). The rooms were clean and new, there were lockers available and I regret not having taken a padlock.

It's a quiet area late at night, but it wasn't a problem. It was clean. Breakfast was included, which was nice.

Bonjour! I liked this place , recommend . Very clean , nice food And lovely staff all friendly. The girls help me in the desk information about my trip. So, I had a big problem with my ticket to go to Swiss, so I lost my train to go there. I back to host and explained all my frustration to a boy , I don’t remember the name , he help me a lot, I stayed a night there sleeping on sofa and they didn’t charge with that. Will back soon.

My 5 year old Kid was thirsty , it was a hot day , the people at the bar refused to give him a glass of water , they said u must buy something from us . I told them the child was thirsty and needed water , they asked if i lived in the neighbourghood and said i should go home and give him water . Avoid this place where the staff is toxic !

Pros - The rooms, common areas and washrooms were very clean - The building was quite modern, it included nice outdoor sitting areas out front and back - WIFI was strong, we had no problem streaming videos - The closest metro stop was a 5 minute walk with others nearby as well. Gare du Nord isn't far as well ~ 20 minute walk - The included breakfast had gluten free options - Didn't hear any noise from other guests or the nearby train tracks - Grocery store across the street Cons - The neighborhood around the hostel is not very nice. Homelessness in the area. We never experienced any problems, but some may not feel safe walking outside alone at night. - The shower temperature could not be controlled and it fluctuated a lot

Where to start. First of all the hostel is not even good looking like in the picture, barely even orange from the outside. Rooms- clean enough, shower was disgusting though!! We used the sink instead of it for cleaning our body parts. There was no way to lock the lockers even if you had your own lock, so someone can easily steal your belongings. Luckily there was only 3 of us together in one room. Beds were okay.If you need towels and a hairdryer you need to pay a little extra at the reception. Breakfast was good but you could only take limited amount of food, ex. one croissant per person even though there were way more of them than people. Neighborhood- I didn't have time to look online how it is but oh god, didn't see a single woman, only a bunch of suspicious men. Someone we met in the hostel had their wallet stolen close by. My friend and mom felt very unsafe there. After our city exploring we went back by taxi because there's no way we wanted to walk there at night. Not worth saving some money, next time would rather pay more for a safer and better accommodation.

Pretty standard for a youth hostel. Two of us stayed in a 6 bed room and had it to ourselves (mid-July) which was nice, ensuite room - was lovely having a shower in the room. Breakfast decent, general cleanliness good. Stayed in 40°C weather both days which I had worried about beforehand but the room stayed a comfortable temperature throughout, plus air con downstairs. Baggage check-in room available with lockers (2€) downstairs. Check in time to rooms = 3:00, lockers in rooms not massively secure. Slightly noisy at night but headphones in + white noise = no trouble. About 20 mins from la gare du nord, felt like a dodgy neighbourhood walking through as two young girls, especially with crowds of men congregating outside, but we were careful and faced no actual problems throughout, and lots of little boulangeries as well as montmartre/sacre cœur 20 mins away which were lovely. Shame it was so far from eiffel tower etc especially in the heat we stayed in but typically transport across the city would be a lot easier. Overall, decent experience if a stressful walk outside in the city - which the youth hostel can't control. Communal kitchen functional if a bit grim and would have been nice to have comfier lounge areas, but for a hostel inside paris it was decent.

We booked a 4 bed room for our family (2adults and 2 kids) for 4 nights. It was perfect - not too much noise, close to restaurants/cafe/bakery, metro 5 mins away, and some fantastic local people playing with kids most evenings. I was expecting the breakfast to be diabolical due to some poor reviews but it was just right - 1 x boiled egg, 1 x choc croissant, muesli, 1 x fruit (yes one only), yogurt, a little bread roll and tea/coffee. A god size and healthy start to the day. If your kids like soccer, buy a ball and play with the local kids. There’s a certain edginess to the area but that’s part of its charm, we loved it. On your way to the Marx Dormoy Metro there’s a bunch of little bars, supermarket, bakery, and restaurants.

-staff and people on the reception are rude and not helpful at all -breakfast is poor, they only allow yo take 1 item of each, service is rude -private rooms, showers, bathrooms, sinks are dirty and smelly -you have to rent the towel and they gave us a horrible, broke and stained towels. Not even my dog has such a horrible towel. -they have stupid rules such as no earing and drinking in the rrom even when it's private -the people doing the "cleaning" of the room knock the door and they just enter in the room, what if they enter while you are naked changing your clothes? I said that on the teception and they don't care -there are not good metro conexions to this place and again people on the reception are not able to guide you -thay want to charge you for everything

Staying at this hostel was a complete pleasure. So many ecologically sound details had been fully considered. Low water use, solar roof, beautiful trees and plant screening, reminders to use the stairs, timed showers and taps. All that consideration Ina very clean environment with very friendly and helpful staff . The simple breakfast was just right too. We had one noisy (from outside) Saturday night and then it was very quiet for our other two nights. The area is a little concerning at night so we took the metro until we were nearer then took a taxi to the door. It’s fine in the day time. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Paris now because this place puts the planet before money. It’s reasonably priced so accessible for families and those on modest incomes. I wish all hostels and hotels follow this model!! Jules aged 59
