Firstly, the price was fantastic. The location is close to a Metro station and a bus stop. It is only 25 minutes from the Eiffel Tower by Metro. It is also close to the train station by bus. The reception area was welcoming they also spoke good English. The room was very clean, and had air conditioning. The shower was great and also clean. Don’t be put off by the stairwell on the road towards the hotel when you first arrive (coming from the metro). It is near a police station, very well lit, so also very safe. I would stay here again!

The hotel is small, doesn’t have refrigerator and safe box but staff are great especially Islam was very friendly and helpful … :) Location of the hotel is good as well close to bus stop and metro station and the neighborhood is safe and peaceful so close to two great parcs

For a short stay this accommodation is fine, the carpet on the stairs could use a cleaning yet the rooms are small but clean, beds are made fresh every day. Its better to grab breakfast outside somewhere. There is luggage storage and the metrostations are nearby, so its easy to get to the city center. Its alright accommodation for a short stay but don't expect anything more. The rooms on the inside have a wall window view but also no street noise. Enjoy Paris!

We spent several nights in this very well located and very quiet room. Located in the 17th, near the pedestrian streets that give the charm of the capital, it is possible to reach the metres that serve all the neighborhoods quickly with little walk. This is my first time staying at Grand Hotel Chicago and I my experience has been exceptional. Staff is super friendly and beyond helpful. Location is great My husband and I traveled with 3 kids and we got a connecting room and it was perfect and spacious. Around the hotel on rue de dames there are lots of nice bistro and all amenities. ( supermarket, self service laundry, pharmacy, subway- all a short walk away) Really convenient, very clean, quiet and and great atmosphere. Would go back- absolutely.

We had to book the trip last minute, A really lovely clean hotel, rooms are modern and beds are so comfortable, Sophie and the friendly helpful staff could not do enough for us, we had lovely breakfast on both mornings of our stay, we were 1 minute walk to Pont Cardinet station on the 14 purple line, 15 second walk to the bus stop for bus 31 for a 8 min bus ride to Arch de triumph, which we then walked down the Champs Elysees. There is another train station nearby which would take you to the wider French area. The hotel is in the 17th district, the area is a mix of old and new style buildings, very clean and we felt very safe and welcomed especially at night. Lovely street market in a square around the corner, bakeries, cafes and bars for loads of choice. Highly recommend this hotel

I booked this hotel for a business trip because the pictures made the hotel seem like it was a cute, well-appointed little hideaway and for a 3-star hotel, it seemed like it would be a good value. I arrived at the hotel to a lobby that didn’t look terribly inviting (very institutional). I was given my key, got on the minuscule elevator, walked in the room, looked around and sat at the desk to book another hotel. This is NOT a 3-star hotel. It is 2 at best. The room was stiflingly hot (thermostat control was locked out), it had gnats, the hardwood floor didn’t look especially clean, the pillows were flat as pancakes and there were only two, the bed was hard as a rock, the bathroom impossibly small, it smelled funny etc. I handed the clerk my key and said it wasn’t to my standards (he just looked at me dumbfounded, no refund of any sort offered) and I went out into the rain to wait for an Uber. Though the pictures on the website might suggest it is a quaint Parisian hotel in a great neighborhood (and it is a great neighborhood, that is at least true), if you are used to any degree of comfort when you travel this will fall short. This property has no business advertising as a 3-star. I give it 2, at best. It is telling that I would have rather paid for another hotel out of my own pocket than spend even one night there. My lesson in all of this: read the one and two star reviews first. I gave two stars because the main crime here is that this hotel just isn’t what it purports to be. It is more reminiscent of a place that rents by the hour than a comfortable 3-star hotel.
