Very small but well organized, cozy and clean room, with everything you need. Special furniture and lighting. Recently renovated building. Breakfast self service but plentiful and of good quality. Friendly and helpful service. Quiet area and not too far from some places of historical interest.

I approached the receptionist on my way back from my activities and inform him there was no fan in my room as I had really suffered the night before, no fans in the room ,just one window , even when left opened no air/ breeze came in at all. Anyways I approached the receptionist and informed him there was no fan in my room: Firstly his response was : there aren’t fans in the rooms and asked me to correct myself by requesting for a fan instead( this is a lie to start with , I have 2 rooms booked (my friend & I) and the second room has a fan ) . I immediately corrected myself and requested for a fan instead, he kept on going about how I said it like the fans were readily in the room but I needed to requested them instead. He made me request for a fan 3 times all along I was patient with him and I obliged, but he kept talking so I banged the key on the desk as I was out of patience after requesting 3 whole times already!! For the 4th time!!! Anyways the man called “Yanis”refused to give me a fan because i banged the key on the desk, asking me to speak to him with respect, I reminded him that I have asked 3 times already but he won’t stop yapping on how I should have phrased or worded my English.. At this point my sister had to intervene, she insisted that I had been polite all along , I mean how do you make a guest request for an item 3 times whilst you sit on your high horse / chair demanding respect and telling me how to phrase my words.. I asked if I could speak to a manager ( clearly there wasn’t one) which he confirmed there wasn’t one . He then told us to leave the reception area as he was done talking to us.. I suppose he was able to get away with this because we were both females, I doubt he would do this if it was a male customer.

The hotel's front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the rooms are clean and hygienic, the heating is good, the facilities are general, the floors are too high, there is no elevator, the refrigerator is too noisy, the TV remote control is broken, and you cannot watch TV.

Albergo senza pretese in zona Bastiglia, vicino alla metro. Ascensore minuscolo, stanze piccole ma pulite, saponi non forniti. Le camere sul retro sono tranquille, purtroppo le camere sul fronte strada sono rumorose a causa di schiamazzi notturni ( ci sono locali ) ed è difficile riposare. Gli infissi non trattengono i rumori, basterebbe sostituirli per modificare notevolmente il comfort. A pochi metri un forno/pasticceria fantastico, dove è possibile fare colazione e oppure uno spuntino, anche salato. Ci tornerei se fossi sicuro di soggiornare in una camera sul retro del palazzo.

The rooms were small but clean. There were small cubes where to save your stuff but not even a carry on would fit there. The private bathrooms were ok but there were no towels to even dry my hands on or to step out the shower afterwards, so everything was a bit wet. Sometimes I could not get it into the common bathrooms for some reason and I know I was not the only one (problems with hostel card) We asked whether they could add us all to the same 4-bed room since we were 3. They said they could and afterwards they did not 'by mistake' so this was a bit disappointing. The place in general was awesome, it was very nice, clean, friendly staff. They also have lockers where to store your luggage if needed. Breakfast was a bit expensive but totally worth it. Location was convenient since there is a metro station just around the corner, so it was pretty easy to move around such a big city. I would probably go again.

The room was very neat and well kept. The lighting looked very pretty and it was very good room for a budget hotel. I was completely satisfied with the experience. The room was also cleaned every day which was very good. It also had air conditioning that was excellent as Paris was very hot during my stay. It was located next to a shopping centre(Bercy 2) this was very convenient for me as I was able to get all that was needed inside there. The staff were okay. They were a bit passive aggressive but they did help. I didn’t hear of this 50 euros deposit which I was afraid of when booking this hotel. Instead I paid 4.02 euros as city tax which is understandable as I am staying in Paris. There was also a wonderful pizza shop which was shared with a bakery down the road from the hotel which had amazing pizza and great customer service. Even though the man couldn’t speak any English he was very pleasant. In terms of location, this hotel has a very good public transportation connections with bus stops within walking distance of the hotel which take you to the metro and the metro can take you across Paris. French public transportation was very easy to use and inexpensive. Even though, I felt some passive aggression in my time in France(which I believe is how french people are), I was completely satisfied with my experience and would recommend to people on a budget looking for hotels in Paris with good transportation connections.

Yes, rooms are very small by US standards, smaller than the smallest room I saw at the College Park (Atlanta Airport) Econo Lodge. However, they are twice as big as what they call “single rooms” in London’s budget hotels, which are half way between the traditional English phone booth and a small US closet, where you sleep in a tiny 90 centimeters army cot WITHOUT AC for the price you pay at the Los Angeles LAX Sheraton! At this CHOICE COMFORT HOTEL PORTE D’IVRY at least, you will sleep in a double bed in a small but clean room WITH AC, tiny desk and phone, and a full bath with the biggest shower (3 times bigger) that I’ve ever seen in Europe, together with the one of room 823 at the Orly Best Western Plus, which is the same size. It also has a sink with a hair dryer and a private “wishing well”, the greatest invention of mankind… Those amenities such as a big refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board that I always see in all CHOICE HOTELS (whether Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, etc.) in the US for around $100 with buffet breakfast included, are just a dream in Europe, so forget about it! I’ll say the same about the ice machine, which we find even in cheapest motels, and sometimes on every floor in high-end hotels like the Clarion. Forget it! The only place where I have seen an ice machine outside of the US was at the Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires, after I harassed the manager during more than seven years asking for it during every trip in the 1990s! THE MAIN ASSET of this Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry is its LOCATION. A short 4 blocks walk will put you at “Porte d’Ivry”, where you will see the terminal of bus 27 to go to “Quartier Latin”, “Notre-Dame”, “Opéra” and “Gare Saint-Lazare”, and also the terminal of bus 83, which will take you to “Port Royal” and “Sèvres-Babylone”. At the same “Porte d’Ivry”, you will also see the “Métro” (subway) line 7 going from “La Courneuve” in the north of Paris to “Mairie d’Ivry” in the south. If you enjoy traveling underground, this line will take you straight to “Chatelet” and “Opéra”. But I prefer to do that journey with bus 27. Last but not least, at that “Porte d’Ivry”, you will be able to take TRAM 3a, which circles Paris on the south and will take you from “Pont du Garigliano” on the west, to “Porte de Vincennes” on the east, where you will be able to take TRAM 3b, which circles Paris on the north side, and will take you to “Porte de la Chapelle”, where you will be able to take bus 350 to Roissy CDG. And if you fly to Orly, as I do with Iberia via Madrid, now that American Airlines have discontinued their nonstop flights 62 and 63 between Miami and Paris, then you can take the ORLYBUS and get off at the first stop in Paris, by my beloved Cité Universitaire, where I lived the best five years of my long life in the 1960s, then walk a block to “Montsouris” and take TRAM 3a to “Porte d’Ivy”, only six stations away. After reading some of the online reviews, I was a bit nervous about this hotel. No need. It was a nice stay. Clean, great breakfast, comfortable bed, friendly staff and a short walk to the metro. Brand new? No. A hairdryer in the room? No. (But gladly given by the front desk when they had one). Only tip I have is that some of the taxi drivers needed an address and google map location since there are lots of Novotels in Paris. I recommend this place!

We stayed at GW for two nights. Montparnasse station and Danfer Rochelow station are about 13 minutes walk. Since the airport bus departing and arriving at Montparnasse station is gone, it is very convenient to be able to go to the airport without changing by RER from Danfer Rochelow station. The subway is about 8 minutes from Gete Station. Since it is a hotel on a big street, the surroundings are bright and you are not afraid to walk at night. Moreover, it is quiet at night. It is convenient because the monoprix grocery store near Montparnasse station is open until 23:40. One of the male staff at the front desk was surprised that he was good at Japanese. In addition, he was very kind. Breakfast is served with baguettes and petit size croissants, pan o chocolate, pan orezan in a basket. The baguette was delicious. Drinks can be served in a pot with coffee, tea or chocolate. Orange juice is also available. Then there are a few kinds of shelves of Financier, yogurt, jam and cheese. I thought I would go out to eat if breakfast was too much, but it was enough. Due to the depreciation of the yen, the hotel in Paris for the first time in 4 years was very expensive, and I was worried about where to stay, but I chose this place and it was the correct answer. There is a classic elevator and the rooms are large enough. There is no refrigerator in the room, but it was a very good hotel considering the price.
