The place is on top of a small slope. Its environment is calm and peaceful. Room is clean, water pressure is strong. One can sit outside the room looking out to the far mountains. Breakfast is nice especially the sofa bean drink. It is near to a bus stop and also near a convenient store. It is also convenient to watch the sunrise a short distance away from the place. Would go back to stay if there is opportunity. Thanks for hosting us.

Family WuThe Indigo hotel is located in the Ryu Tou area of Gongtian Village, Wanglishan, halfway up the mountain road to Alishan National Scenic Area. The hotel's design is very stylish, incorporating elements of Alishan (raw wood, cherry blossoms, green grass) and the Tsou indigenous culture (Formosan blue magpies, wild boars). The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, from the lobby reception to the front desk and restaurant staff. A special shout-out to the young man with glasses by the coffee machine during breakfast on February 15th – his attitude was enthusiastic, polite, and his service was impeccable. Overall, while the design, location, and scenery are all impressive, the service truly left the deepest impression!

Environment is peaceful and suitable for people who drive because it's quite far away from Taiping Bridge and not accessible by public transport. So we ended with plenty of time after arrival. So we engaged a private car to chauffeur us the next day for NT3500 from Minsu to Taiping Bridge (too misty to see anything), then had lunch at Fenqihu and finally stopped at Alishan hotel. We should have stuck to original plan to just go Fenqihu for NT1000 transport fare and stay there for a night because when we reached Alishan, it was near 3:30p.m., there's not much time for us to roam the place due to the gloomy weather and heavy mist.

Our group of five booked two rooms because it's opposite the National Palace Museum South Branch, just a few minutes' walk away! The rooms were small, but clean and tidy. I'm a little puzzled by the fact that the location is on the outskirts of Chiayi, practically sparsely populated; I wonder why the rooms are so small. Breakfast was served in a huge banquet hall, with both hot and cold food options, and the ability to cook your own noodles was a highlight! Personally, I thought the breakfast was nutritious and offered a good selection, which was nice! However, I think I won't book this place again next time.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, which made the stay fairly pleasant. Although it was a last-minute booking advertised as a lake-view room, the lake was quite far and only visible as a distant panoramic view. The washroom was good overall, but the toilet had a standard seat with no bidet, which may not suit all guests. Breakfast options were very limited and not ideal for international travelers. Parking facilities were good, and the service provided by the staff was decent.

VincentThe hotel is located about an hour's drive up the mountain. On clear days, it's incredibly convenient to watch the sunrise directly from your room. While it may not be the iconic sunrise near Yushan Main Peak (often referred to as the Alishan sunrise), the viewing experience here is still wonderful. The other hotel facilities were standard.

The name is very grand. From the appearance, you can see how the original owner put a lot of effort into building it. It is beautiful and some of the saunas in the facilities are great! The temperature is sufficient and the water is clean. It's a pity that the steam room is not open, but overall I am very satisfied. There is an outdoor swimming pool for swimming, an indoor gym, a children's playroom, several game consoles, etc. for use. Great!
Have breakfast at Galileo Western Restaurant, the beef soup is super recommended! Others are ordinary but reasonably varied. Afternoon tea is great! It is recommended that everyone try their afternoon tea if you have the opportunity! If you want to take a vacation, you can come here~ It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Renyitan near the hotel. The lake and mountains are beautiful, especially the sunset, which is very beautiful!

Guest UserThe hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing 😂. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring 😂. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.

This room is basic but located at Alishan which makes it easier if you want to catch the morning sunrise. Would need to walk down if arriving by the Alishan train as there is no shuttle service provided to and from the station. Breakfast was located at another building within walking distance of the hotel. Clealiness was average and room was small but sufficient for a nights' rest
