A highly recommended hotel. Thanks to the host and hostess for their warm reception. The breakfast was great. The homemade cakes were unforgettable. Room: Bedroom suite on the second floor. The room is small, very cozy, and has a great view outside the window. Cleaning and replenishment of consumables are done every day, but slippers and other supplies are not provided. The water in the shower room in the room is not very hot, which I hope to improve. Location: It takes more than 10 minutes to walk from the station, up and down the slope. It is about 10 minutes away from the main bus in the Lake District. It is also about 10 minutes away from the center of Windermere. The location is very quiet and quite good. Breakfast: Very delicious, standard English breakfast, providing yogurt, juice, coffee, bread, full English breakfast, and various homemade cakes and pies. It was rainy when we arrived, so we could hangout in the hotel and not afraid of wind and rain. You can see the lake and the snowy mountains on a sunny day. Breakfast is semi-buffet, you can order a fresh meal, I recommend french toast. We saw two rabbits running outside at breakfast.

The hotel was rebuilt by the owner's parents. It is very warm and the reconstruction is very reasonable. The room is too small and the family seems particularly crowded. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good, but there are many check-in requirements, there is no elevator, and it takes a lot of effort to carry large luggage to the third floor.

Pros: Excellent hotel location. Cons: The facilities are quite dated. There's no exhaust fan in the bathroom, power outlets are scarce, and the hairdryer only works if you continuously hold down a button. The hangers are fixed and can't be easily removed from the closet. Service was mediocre; most staff seemed unsmiling, with the exception of a couple of very young employees.

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this luxurious new resort style hotel in/near Windermere. It was part of a longer trip, and again we stayed in the posh Winander Suites keyed access building. Breakfast is great as you get to eat from both the breakfast buffet, and also order hot food from the menu. The staff here are always 10 out of 10 excellent for both in the spa and the hotel itself. A couple of them even remembered us from the year prior! It's great having so many dining and drinking options on site... one never really needs to leave. I really enjoy the keyed access for the Winander and additional for the room hallways. There is parking on site and a guard at the gate. I know we will continue to visit here for many years to come!

Hotel was clean, plenty of parking, good breakfast No information in rooms, was advised that they didn’t like clutter, so any questions we had we had to go to reception to ask. No wifi, channels on tv not tuned in, had to pay to use the spa facilities.

I recently stayed at the Woodlands Hotel in the Lake District, and I was very pleased with the experience. First of all, the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including fresh salmon, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, giving it a homely feel. The hotel is also in a convenient location, with a nearby bus stop that makes it easy to reach the main attractions in the Lake District. Overall, it’s a great value hotel with attentive service. Highly recommended!

The location and hygiene of this hotel is okay, except that the carpets don't seem to have been cleaned for a long time. I was most dissatisfied with a male waiter, his attitude was particularly bad, I suspect he was a ******, his attitude was really bad, I have stayed in so many places in the world in hotels and B&Bs, this male waiter's attitude was the worst, I entered the staff area is my fault, but I entered from the restaurant, there is no staff only to enter the prompts, the male waiter kicked me out like a dog, I felt I was insulted.The waiter shooed me out like a dog, I felt insulted, it seems that the quality of the British people really needs to be improved.
