Guest UserThe room environment was comfortable and clean, with a kitchen for cooking. Check-in was convenient, and I most enjoyed the scenery in the surrounding area, which felt like a world unto itself. It allowed us to spend an unforgettable day in Iceland.

Room is 1/4 of a big cottage. It is enough spacious and the desk is large enough. Hair drier is good and can make strong wind. Shampoo, glass kettle are provided. Breakfast is excellent and has wide varieties. Food are hot. Aurora can be seen outside of the cottage.

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip.
Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us.
The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse!
Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse.
It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky.
Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner.
We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious.
The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup.
Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time!
How I’d described it:
Lindartun (Cute Cozy Homey Vibe)
Room Type: 1 Queen Bed + 1 Sofa Bed
Toilet: Private Bathroom (clean and big)
Perks: Nice kitchen and dining area
Thank you for helping me out with my aurora hunting and for maintaining a really cute and nice guesthouse, owner!

Guest UserThe host was very helpful, sending detailed driving instructions and information about dining and amenities in the area two days before check-in. The property is a 39-minute drive from Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

The location is a bit forgotten, a house on the ring road, a bit camping cabin style, there is a microwave oven and stove, you can buy some food in the supermarket, and the scenery outside the house is good.
But it's hot water there is a bucket, you have to wait an hour to use it up
The sheets and quilt cover are too expensive. . It is recommended to bring your own disposable

The view is excellent, at the foot of a mountain, it should be a cabin to see the aurora, but unfortunately we did not see the aurora in summer.
The location is not far from Scoga Falls, Seriyaran Falls and Vic Black Beach, these three attractions can choose from here.
The house facilities are very new, the heating is turned on in advance, the Icelanders really don't know how to advertise, and the good house is like a rough house. The housekeeper's English is not good, but the communication is still clear. Other comments are helpful, you can call the password until they answer the phone, if you can't, you can also take a chance on the spot, and you will see the women who clean up the house working nearby.

We had a fantastic stay at North Star Cottages. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We arrived to a warm, snug cabin after a day of walking in the rain, and it had everything we needed for a short one night stay. We were a family of four and we brought food to prepare. The kitchen had everything to cook, eat, and wash up. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot. Really great place.

JIANHONGThe location is hard to find. The room is small. Breakfast is OK, ordinary small hotel. But the price is still reasonable. Instead of being far away from it, there are ten independent small houses on the edge of the road. It should be good to see the aurora, but I don't know what hotel it is.

I have been in the rain and cannot let others be like me.
I rented a car with my friends in Iceland and stayed here for two nights.
First night: I arrived at the hotel entrance at 10 o'clock in the evening and found that I could not contact the hotel staff. The phone is not answered, the email is not returned, and the email sent by the hotel when I see the reservation is from 4 pm to 9 pm, and it is not waiting for the expiration. Very anxious, I thought that more than 2,000 people in the car a night.
🌟 Focus: Later, I found that there was a white house behind me, so I tried it. Then a very enthusiastic brother made a phone call and opened the room.
Second night: Because the room was not enough when booking, the room was not set for two days. At 5 pm the next day, I sent an email to the hotel, but I didn't reply. After that, I made several intermittent calls and no one answered. At night, I arrived at the hotel and went to the back house. The little brother opened the room again.
🌟🌟 Summary: It is best to send an email in advance to see if there is a reply, no reply, when you arrive at the location, don't care what time, go directly to the white house behind and say check in.
