We arrived at the Saint Andrea Seaside Resort on Wednesday May 15th. We are in a suite overlooking the pool and the Gulf of Naousa. We actually unpacked as this is the first hotel that had drawers for our clothes. We went down to the bar to get a bite to eat and see if we could talk to the bartender to get a lay of the land. We were disappointed to find out that the bartender was not talking and only interested in speaking with the other servers. No interaction with us whatsoever. I ordered a white Sangria but he poured me a red Sangria right out of a bottle. My friend ordered a beer and we shared an app of 4 spreads with pita bread. Our server couldn’t tell us what kind of spreads they were but they were delicious. We were never offered another drink, so we decided to go sit by the pool and get some sun. This night we will see how long the walk into the town of Naousa is and grab some street food. We decided to take the walk into town and not call a taxi. It was certainly an adventure. The road was very long and did not have much of a path on the sides to walk. Luckily the traffic was not bad. There were no other people walking along the road to ask questions. Finally we found a man to ask where the town of Naoussa was. He gave us some direction and we went on our way. We passed a few places to possibly stop and eat but I said let’s keep going, there must be more than this. At last we found the most beautiful fishing village with many restaurants and shops. That is where all the people were. There were so many unique restaurants and everyone was enjoying themselves. We decided to eat at Axinox where we had Lobster Spaghetti and Summer Salad. The Summer Salad was so delicious with very fresh mango, honeydew, pomegranate and avocado with Bibb lettuce. The dressing was very light. I had a glass of a wine made in Paros. We sat next to a young couple from Canada, who surprisingly just came from the same hotel as us in Santorini. What are the chances of that??? They gave us a recommendation for another restaurant to have dinner. After dinner we walked around and explored all of the side streets filled with shops, more restaurants and bars and ice cream stores. We stopped and got an ice cream cone and walked to find a taxi. We arrived back at the hotel around 10:00. Thursday May 16 - this hotel does not have breakfast in the suite so we went down to the restaurant. What we found was an extensive buffet of different Greek specialties, a hot bar with eggs, Greek bacon and sausage, the most delicious grilled mushrooms and vegetable ka-bobs. There was dried fruit, spreads, many juices and pastries. There was also a hot cabinet of Greek savory pies and a cold cabinet of charcuterie and Greek cheeses. A culinary adventure. I stuck to my fredo cappuccino and sampled some meats and cheeses. After breakfast we stayed by the pool while we figured out how we would see the island. We asked about hiring a driver to take us around the island for the next two
