Breakfast was surprisingly large portions, good cooked quality. Cold buffet was limited. Service was a bit slow. Bed was very comfy. Good to have a window that opened and a fan in the bedroom. Had dinner in the restaurant first night and the chicken was delicious. TV channels in the room were limited depending on the weather. Good option for Penzance as a base then use the bus to get around.

Classic English hotel, my room was recently updated and clean; strange not to have daily cleaning service. Small Single room with sea view was expected and very cosy. Appreciate the soft, thick new carpet. Also the single armchair was well used to enjoy sitting by window for the view. Bathroom was brand new, modern and didn’t blend into environment which is a shame. The water from shower was either too hot or cold; also the shower head could not be fixed into the rail so needed holding up. Restaurant meal was very nice, service was especially friendly and attentive. I would stay again in the near future but remind other guests considering that this is a 3 star hotel so you should appreciate that this is meeting the expectations of this grading. Overall daily service at hotel reception was well appreciated and always greeted when passing . Well done and thank you to the hotel staff!

Amazing stay

Antique hotels, with acceptable decoration but quite overpriced. Hygiene not particularly good for one insect is found in toilet. Room is also far from elevator.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There is nothing good about it except the location by the sea. The window in the room was covered with dust, and the bathroom floor was very dirty. There was no room service during the 3 days of stay, and I didn't see any cleaning staff to clean the bedding in the hotel for 3 days. I seriously doubt the hygiene of the hotel. The hotel breakfast is extremely simple, and it is also the worst English breakfast I have ever had in the UK. The salad on the menu is actually canned... So, I booked for 3 days, but I ate cereal with cold milk for 3 days. The staff was also very unfriendly. Since I was with my children, I couldn't find a hotel temporarily and was forced to stay. I don't know why Ctrip wants to help advertise this hotel. I suggest you choose it carefully.

The location is pretty good, but the hotel is too old and dated, and there aren't many choices in a town like this. If possible, live far away! The morning glow is so beautiful, share it with everyone!

It's hard to imagine that such a good hotel has no reviews on Ctrip. Opposite the hotel is the sea, which is very healing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available. It is a local classic.

The location of the hotel is very good. The sea view room has a good view. The disadvantage is that the hotel facilities are a bit old, and the price/performance ratio is okay. It would be nice if the bathroom and other facilities were updated.
