Best Hotels in Petrosino, Italy

We spent 3 nights here with our tour group. We were in room 208. Room was okay. Carpet had stains. Room had a safe, coffee service (although no milk or cream), and a small bathroom. Bed was firm. Breakfast buffet was very good. One morning we had freshly made pomegranate juice. Cappuccinos were made to order. Scrambled eggs were made perfectly (not runny) and they had the best sausage links. Hotel is close to restaurants, shops, wine bars, etc. Since we were in a large bus, we did have to walk about 10 mins from the car park out by the water down a street to get to the hotel. Front desk staff very friendly.

Abbiamo ricevuto un trattamento eccezionale. La struttura è immersa nel verde. Un paradiso. Curata. Pulita. Grandissima. Attrezzata di tutto: La nostra camera, la 202, anche se necessita di qualche piccolo ammodernamento, è risultata abbastanza confortevole e soprattutto pulita (complimenti al personale del servizio pulizia camere. Davvero tutti cordiali ed efficienti). Un plauso al personale del centro benessere (Giovanna e Letizia ci hanno consigliato trattamenti super efficaci. Un grazie immenso anche a loro e a tutto lo Staff, coordinato da una Leader molto preparata e cordiale). Complimenti anche ai coniugi responsabili del servizio Bar. Anche in loro abbiamo visto grande preparazione, professionalità e cortese disponibilità. Infine un plauso va al personale che in questi giorni (8 e 9 maggio) si è alternato alla Reception dell'hotel. Gentilissimi e sempre disponibili. Un plauso speciale al personale delle Sale Ristorazione, guidati da una coppia di super professionisti. Lo Chef, in questi giorni, è riuscito a preparare piatti stellati, sempre all'altezza delle aspettative dei tantissimi ospiti presenti in questi giorni nella struttura (ai quali il personale di Sala non ha mai fatto mancare nulla). Bravi e complimenti ai proprietari/gestori di Baglio Basile di Petrosino. Faremo di tutto per tornare presto. Grazie e complimenti a tutto il personale.

Barely rates as a 4 star. At edge of town, but only 7-8 min walk. Lots of tour groups stay there. Rooms nice some with patios. Bathrooms need updating. Breakfast ok, but can get really busy with all the groups. Wellness center in front with loud music. Stay here if you get a great rate.

We have just returned from the Seawater Hotel. It is a lovely hotel kept spotlessly clean and with really friendly staff. The rooms are a good size with air con and very large comfy beds. Breakfast is great a mix of fresh fruit, cheese, hams and bread and an array of pastries and local treats. In the evening there is a good restaurant that when the weather is good food is served by the stunning pool. There are a few options for each course. If you have the trio of cheese starter which is lovely you can share between 2 as its a big portion. Location wise its in a quiet area on the main road into town. We didnt have a car and I would recommend you have one but you can walk into town in about 30 mins. Be warned some of the pavements are quite slim or none existent but it wasn't too much trouble. You can book the hotels shuttle into town for €5 per person each way and they will also help organise trips for you. We didnt use the spa but the 3 pools are great and a real asset to the hotel. Our only slight problem was they don't do lunch at the hotel so we went to the local supermarket a 5 minute walk and got some things for the room. There is also a local cafe probably 10 mins in the other direction, Cafe Caramel which was great but a bit of a limited choice. The staff are so lovely and helpful it was a great holiday and would definately recommend it.

UPDATE - following my below review on my initial experience the manager sought me out to apologise and to resolve the issue regarding my room. I was shown the bungalow and an alternative hotel room. The bungalow was cute and if I was travelling as a couple it probably would have been my preferred option. As a solo traveler the hotel room seemed more appealing. It was also very much appreciated to get a heartfelt apology. An additional note regarding breakfast; if you are looking to avoid carbs (not easy in Italy anyway) then fruit and yogurt are really your options (they had a bowl of boiled eggs but that didn’t appeal) I wouldn’t want an English breakfast (I don’t have those in England!) but it really was just rolls and pastries (which did look delicious) My first night here was a disappointment. I was given a box room with a fold out bed (see pics) when I had actually booked a deluxe bungalow. I was told in a very nonchalant way that they were fully booked and there was plumbing issues with the bungalow. It’s a beautiful place for a wedding and wouldn’t begrudge anyone getting married but the music and party was very close to my room and very loud. Dinner was challenging as I don’t eat seafood so had limited options and as mentioned before; trying not to overload on carbs. The menu is heavily seafood based, which I assume is normal for the area, so ordered a salad and was given a bowl of chopped iceberg lettuce

We stayed at this resort for 8 days and we really had a great time here. The staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to help and accommodate you. The whole resort, including the room, is very clear and well kept. They really take pride in what they do and offer to their customers. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was sumptuous, especially the croissants with Pistachio cream (very delicious). We managed to also use the pool. It was spotless clean and we had a lovely time relaxing swimming and staying by the pool. They also gave us very good tips what to see and experience in the area. Thanks to their advice, we maximised on our Marsala experience and learnt more about this beautiful wine region. The service is very friendly yet professional. You really feel that you are surrounded by friends. We look forward to visit again. Tnks Nicola and Toni :)

Large hotel with huge car park and seems out of place in its location surrounded by mainly electrical shops Modern rooms that are well maintained but need more plug sockets for modern travelling (believe hotel is 30+ years old) Recently refurbished bathroom but small cubicle on the shower itself Lovely new linen and towels but curtains definitely need replacing and didn’t pull properly, didn’t meet in middle and several hooks missing Wi-Fi very good Staff were really polite and helpful Lots of students staying when we were and they definitely need more lifts and more modern lifts Corridors have the automatic lights which are very slow to react Breakfast was good with the best fresh orange juice we had in all of Sicily. Better than usual coffee from their machines, good choice of bread, cakes and pastries (too good as too many and ate lots), fresh fruit and yoghurt
