This resort was nice but a bit simple for the price. The location is stunning. Right at the beach and surrounded by palm trees! Within walking distance to great restaurants. The room was good but a bit loud due to the thin glass sliding doors. We were woken up daily around 5am/6am to screaming babies or kids shouting. The breakfast was okay, it had both western and Vietnamese options but was a bit limited. Overall a nice stay, very beautiful location and pool!

It's a pretty good hotel with good greenery and a decent swimming pool. The hotel service is just average. It has its own beach and is convenient for going to the sea. I recommend Bamboo more than another hotel in Mui Ne.

At the off-season point in August 2022, most stores were closed due to the impact of Corona. Mui Ne was generally quiet, and restaurants and shops were closed, so it was like a ghost town. If you move a little, there are shops that are sometimes open.
The night staff at the resort reception show social friendliness, but they don't really touch you.
The swimming pool is pretty. There are pools with different heights ranging from 0.7 to 1.5m, and the pool is long, so it is great for swimming.
The cleanliness is... the worst. I see rat poop in the window... The rat is living hard. As soon as we opened the door, two lizards greeted us. After that, I saw a lot of lizards while traveling, and it seems that there are just a lot of them in Vietnam. But... it's shocking. Cockroaches also come out. The facility is old but well maintained.

I can only say positive things about this resort. We had such a lovely time with our family. The location was beautiful, the rooms were the perfect size. They were very flexible about everything. And all these cute details, and everything was so clean. I would really recommend. A big plus: the food in the restaurant was amazing. Thank you for this experience.

After a 25 days roundtrip I used the opportunity to extend my stay in the wonderful country Vietnam for an other 5 days/6 night. Which I don't regret a single bit at all Altough the check in on late in the evening arrival went a bit bumpy due to misunderstanding between travel agencies, which was certainly no Blue Ocean Resort mistakes. Despite that they did their utmost to solve things and make me feel welcome. Their customer service dedication is awesome. The staff is really very friendly and eager to give the best possible service. The quality of the food in their restaurant can easily compete with other restaurants in the neighbourhood. They are even one of the best certainly with the typical Vietnamese food. Highly recommanded! I rally enjoy my stay here at Blue Ocean Resort

Very nice hotel, good rooms and food. Excellent staff in the reception and rest of the hotel. Staff were eager to answer questions and solve problems. We had a problem with internet in our room and were offered an upgrade to another larger and better room.

After traveling the length of Vietnam, we wanted a few days of relaxation. The only negative thing I can say is that we didn't stay longer. What a beautiful, luxurious and relaxing place! It's right on the beach, too! We had two rooms and they put us on the second floor, so we could just walk across the landing to the other room and there were no other rooms up there. It was almost like having a suite (and comfy beds!). The facilities were great and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and service-minded. We had problems with our next accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City (a fire in the building), and Kristy (general manager) and her staff went above and beyond what we expected, doing everything they could to help us find new accommodations. They even instructed the driver to wait until we were checked in as we had problems with a non-existent hotel (long story). That was such an excellent suggestion as he waited and drove us to another hotel. We cannot recommend Blue Ocean Resort enough! It is a little oasis from the busy streets of Vietnam. Such a relaxing stay!

My wife and I spent almost one month at Blue Ocean Resort in December 2022 and January 2023 on a kitesurf trip to Vietnam. We were accommodated in a Sea Front Bungalow (number 104), which are clearly the hotel's best rooms. Facing the beach with a large terrace equipped with two sofas, they are spacious and well-appointed. Room decoration is modern, with a small Asian touch. The bathroom was also very spacious with a shower and an outdoor tub, a very nice feature. Each Sea Front Bungalow also has its own two sunbeds on the sand, very close to the beach. The beach has suffered a lot from coastal erosion over the past years and is certainly no longer what it used to be. Despite sand bags and other remediation measures, it is very narrow in the section in front of the hotel, turning kite launch into a difficult exercise. Hotel and bungalows are located in a well-kept garden with tall coconut trees and tropical plants offering a welcoming shade. Although we didn't use it a lot we found the pool area also very nice. Due to the location and a low occupancy rate during our stay, the hotel was very quiet. Kirsty, the hotel manager, went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable. We never had lunch or dinner at the hotel, but very often had snacks/small bites during the day and liked the food. Breakfast was also very good, although coffee was definitely not up to the hotel's standard. Expresso or higher quality coffee should definitely be offered. We attended the New Year's Eve Party, mandatory for customers staying on the night of December 31st. Although we didn't initially expect much from it, we enjoyed it. It was entertaining and well organized with a proper balance between music, shows (spectacular traditional Vietnamese show), and food. Hotel staff's poor English level sometimes makes communication not easy, but we could always count on Kirsty to make things work. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Blue Ocean Resort, and I have no issue to strongly recommend the place for a stay in Mui Né.

Response from Property: Dear Vingre, It was such a pleasure to have you and your sweet wife staying with us for so long, on a personal level we love having guests who stay for such a long time & also return guests as we find that friendships develop which really makes our jobs enjoyable so it is lovely to read how much you have enjoyed your stay with us as well. With our buffet breakfast we do try to offer a selection that suits as many of our guests tastes as possible. As I am sure you understand our Vietnamese guests ideals for breakfast are very different to our European guests ideals so I am pleased you have enjoyed it, but I am sorry though that you weren't so happy with the coffee included in the buffet breakfast which is filter coffee. We do also have espresso coffee (and a range of other options as well) available on our a la carte menu so I am sorry that you weren't aware of this during your stay as I do understand how important coffee is (especially in the morning). I do appreciate your understanding about the beach erosion situation here in Mui Ne at the moment. While there is no quick or easy solution to this matter, we do hope to have approval to make some temporary repairs & further protection in around 1 month, and the government is looking at more long term solutions for the area as well, but sadly these plans have had to be postponed due to the disruptions caused by the pandemic over the last few years, but they do understand how important this matter is for our local area so I am sure they will find a way to combat this matter (touch wood for luck). I am so glad you have enjoyed the New Years Eve gala dinner, we are so lucky to have such wonderful performers in our local area (such as the team who performs the Lion & Dragon Dance's, the the Traditional Cham performers & some fantastic International musicians as well - I actually think the staff enjoyed the show almost as much as our guests did) and of course our talented chefs preparing the buffet put their hearts into this dinner as well. Although we have some staff here who have been working with us a very long time who speak excellent English, we do also have some new, younger staff who are not yet as competent at understanding the different accents our guests speak English with (they learn English from Vietnamese teachers in school, so it does take a little time for them to adapt to understanding how a European speaks English, which is very different to how their teachers spoke English in the classroom), so I am very happy to be available assist our guests (I actually enjoy it) as needed, and also to train & develop these younger members of the team as well so they will be able to assist our guests as international tourism returns to Vietnam in the future. Perfect service, room was large and staff was very friendly. Large swimming pool in front of the room and a beach with warm water and large waves. We stayed a couple of days and we enjoyed the trips to the surrounding areas. Hope to come back soon!

We stayed in a great seafront villa with good facilities. Really friendly staff and good service. Food quality was okay but we, like most guests, chose to eat off-resort. We'd be happy to return as the staff were so nice.

Lovely resort. My wife and I stayed 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The pool was so refreshing. Don’t miss out on a relaxing massage with the waves crashing as a back drop. The staff was so friendly and the manager took great care of us. Hope to return soon

My buddy and I were here in the end of January 2021. The resort (and generally Phan Thiet) was so quiet due to Covid and that was really sad. We used bus service of Phuong Trang to go there (best way). After quick check-in, we got our room. We got upgraded from superior to garden bungalow. Nice simple decorated room with terrace (2 couches), welcome letter, big bed and clean bathroom (with personalized washbasins). The garden was well taken care of. Just a few steps to reach the pool and the beach. We rent a scooter and drove over to Ke Ga Bay. Long driving. The next morning, we had a la carte breakfast at the restaurant. Not many choices (understandable because of very low occupancy) but enough for a standard breakfast. For me, this was not the best place but it was worth to stay (relaxing, comfortable resort).

Of course back then in some ways it was a relief not to be crowded for health and safety reasons, and I do think for people travelling from cities that in some ways it was nice to have some fresh air and space, but it did completely change the atmosphere here for a long time. Living here myself, I am actually so happy to see the return of atmosphere to Mui Ne over the last few months. While we are not yet as busy as we were back in 2019, and not all the local shops and resorts have re-opened yet, I am seeing more and more returning, along with some new interesting additions as well, so I do hope we can welcome you back to a more vibrant resort & destination before too long.
