I simply cannot say enough about this center city hotel. From the first line knowledgeable, friendly receptionist(s) on both shifts; actually EVERY staff member was friendly (I really wish I'd written down names); to the cleanliness of all aspects of the hotel to include the rooms and especially the bathroom area with the DOVE soap/shampoo/body wash, good water pressure, comfortable beds, fridge and microwave. And last but certainly not least.......the breakfast..... from the 1 minute pancake maker to hot everything else including fat biscuits, to the cold breakfast beverage(s) machine and good coffee. In/out Parking co-located with the hotel. My second year in a row. I'm impressed. and we'll be back. Keep up the good work.

The hotel's overall facilities are dated. However, its location is excellent: City Hall, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Chinatown are within a 30-minute walk, and the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Museum of Art are both a 15-minute Uber ride away. Breakfast includes excellent sausages, egg and cheese pancakes, various yogurt flavors, and fruit.

Parking is convenient, but the room is average. The soundproofing is extremely poor, and I was woken by my neighbor's snoring. The bathroom is so small that the door can't be closed. The most annoying thing is the washing machine. Without a US bank card, you can't register it. You can only use quarters, which cost $3 for a wash cycle and $2.50 for a dry cycle. The front desk wouldn't exchange them, and I went to two stores but couldn't get 22 quarters. It's unbelievable. There's a lot of dust in the room, so I wiped it down with a wet wipe before entering. I won't be back.
