Timber Inn Motel

This hotel could be a gem…it’s across from the lake, has a lot of “yard”…but it’s run-down, tired, and gross. -Our door stuck shut -The shower was moldy, the walls were moldy in the bathroom, even the shower head was moldy -The water in the shower didn’t stay a consistent temperature -The faucet on the sink was near impossible to turn -Only two mismatched lightbulbs in the sink area (there was space for more) -Ceiling lights burned out -The lamps are old old old -The chair was stained -The pillows were flat -The TV didn’t work and the remote didn’t go with it -The AC didn’t work -The patio door was difficult to open -The screen door was filled with holes (and let every mosquito in) -The outdoor stairwell and parking were dimly lit—huge safety concern -Detached hotel lobby reaked of cigarette smoke

We were given One price when we made the reservations when we went to check out the bill was higher. I asked the lady at the desk why my bill was higher than the price we were quoted she said the owner increase the price $10 each night over the weekend. I said that is not right or the amount I was quoted I was not paying the extra 20 some dollars. She removed it from my bill. She did charge my daughter-in-law the $10 extra a night. I spoke with the owner after his mother who works at the hotel told me I needed to get my facts straight about the prices before I talk to her. Which my facts were straight she was overcharged $22. The owner proceeded to tell me he was not refunding the money that his mother was not correct it was for tax. I said the price we were quoted was $105 with tax he flat out said I'm not refunding the money. He also was very rude to me I told him that we were going to another motel from now on in the future and he hung up the phone on me. I will never be coming back to this hotel which had our business for years. And yes it does need to be updated paint is all over cracks I don't believe that they clean sometimes the room is dirty. If you're looking for a mediocre Hotel this is it otherwise at this time Super 8 down the road is the same price because the timber in increase their prices to meet the same price as the Super 8 we will be going to the Super 8

Was treated great, had to leave after 2 hours there as something came up, but would go back again.

Traveled 3 1/2 hours for work,didn’t know the area. Picked this hotel because of the advertised Lake View, proximity to work site and offered continental breakfast. Lake was across the street. Traffic was loud. Hard to slide patio doors opened to the " View" with a full used ash tray. Seemed okay from outside,a little weathered,otherwise seemed fine. Upon entry into room, a Very Bad odor of unclean bodies hit you right in the face. Terrible smell. Bathroom floor was wet,possibly just washed,I hope. There were stains around the bottom of toilet, looked like stains from leaks on the bathroom ceiling. The whole interior of room was old, outdated and smelly. Overstuffed chair in room had debris on it. Blankets were were haphazardly on bed,one side more on floor then not. An extra blanket was requested upon reservation , Not supplied, had to ask and was questioned wether or not if it was requested during reservation. Paper thin walls,ceiling. Guest upstairs sounded like was walking right inside the room.Had to " clean " areas I was using with alcohol wipes and bought a Large can of Lysol to spray Everything. Greatly disgusted with this " Hotel" and will Never recommend this hotel to anyone or stay there again. This is an honest & fair review of this hotel,wish I could give a better one. However, the person who checked me in was pleasant enough.
