100% recommended if you come to Vang Vieng! The location of the hotel is perfect, you have the night market, morning market and bus station really close walking. You also have the train station at 40 min walking We stayed in the atic apartment and was amazing. Huge beautiful apartment with amazing balcony and views of Vang Vieng mountains. You can see the sunset and air balloons from the bed The facilities are also really good! You have a really nice bar where the food is delicious ( also the breakfast ), swimming pool and the staff is so kind and helpful A must in Vang Vieng 💯

Wonderful view from the terrace, cool common area where you can chill and chat with other people, pool, mountain view. In the evening there is music and a disco, but you can’t hear it in the rooms. The rooms are good, the beds are comfortable, the rooms have their own bathroom, 3 showers and 3 toilets for 14 beds. The bathrooms are good, new, they are cleaned daily, and then you'll be lucky with your neighbors.
It is worth understanding that this is a youth hangout place, so the neighbors may get tipsy and not spend the night alone in their crib (in general, you can complain, since this is prohibited, but this is at your discretion).
What I didn’t like: insanely expensive prices at the bar, when I ordered breakfast and it came out to $13 (coffee, pancakes, granola) - this is an insane price for Southeast Asia. It’s worth going outside and these pancakes cost 1 $, and in the hostel - 5!
When I asked for help booking train tickets, they sent me to a travel agency at the hostel, where the service fee was 100℅. It’s the same story with balloons; I went to the city and booked it for $115; at the hostel it was $130. Moreover, I asked the girl at the reception how much is a good price for a hot air balloon flight, otherwise a tourist can be given any price, and she said $130, which is what they charge at their travel agency. Although in the city I found it cheaper in 15 minutes.
It was this earning of money that stressed me out. Hostels are usually ready to help, suggest better and cheaper options, life hacks for locals. It's not like that there.

We stayed at Hillside for 6 nights and it was an amazing experience. Being out of season, 4 of those nights we were the only people staying which made it feel like our own exclusive and private paradise. Holgar, Aloun and Oscar made our stay so comfortable and relaxing - it was like a home away from home. Many evenings we would sit at the bar with them chatting, learning about their story, the local area and what’s generally happening across the country. It was like being with friends. The food was superb and the choice plentiful. Before we got to Hillside we were in Thailand where our son got very unwell and lost a fair bit of weight. He ate like a horse at Hillside so thankfully, by the end of our stay he had regained full strength. To say the setting is like paradise is not an exaggeration. You’re totally surrounded by nature - it’s 360 degree jungle and mountains. In fact, it’s all so pure that it doesn’t look real. Everything was well maintained and spotlessly clean. We did a few excursions while we were there. We went to Nahm Dong Park which is a 15 minute walk from Hillside. We didn’t have enough Lao Kip with us so Holgar settled our bill from the park and we paid him. Holgar also arranged for us to have a guide take us out for a day to Kuang Si Falls and a few other places. One evening, Oscar (Holgar and Aloun’s 10yr old son) and Buddy (their aging dog) took us for hike up to a viewpoint and then back through a village. All of these are great little touches that really added to our stay. Overall, we can’t fault anything and we are extremely grateful to Holgar, Aloun and Oscar for making us feel so welcome and looking after us impeccably well. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying at Hillside.

Half of the happiness in Wanrong is given by Jinzhanba Garden Resort. The natural environment is beautiful, foggy, full of negative oxygen ions, and the jackfruit, caramel and other fruits in the yard are full of fruits, which is pleasing to the eye and lingering. The little guy wakes up early every day to go to this world's wonderland for a few laps;
A variety of cabins have unique characteristics, single-family, townhouses, clean indoors, complete facilities, living in the water, experience a ”poetic habitat”, very suitable for travel and vacation, long-term residence recuperation, forget the bustling hustle and bustle, wash the lungs and hearts in this mountain water, long-term body and mind.
In terms of food, the restaurant specially arranged Chinese and old specialties, and the boss personally took us to catch Laos to buy vegetables; At lunch, there is a Lao aunt on the spot to teach the production of Lao classic dishes - papaya silk, you can taste the Lao dishes made by yourself, as well as a variety of traditional Chinese food to ease the Chinese stomach of homesickness, after the meal - a cup of mellow Lao coffee, sit by the river, listen to the flowing water, enjoy the fragrance of birds and flowers, View stimulate drifting, feel the beauty of nature;
The boss is a very nice Suzhou native. He has been to Laos for many years and has operated the villa very carefully. He also took us to visit the villages and primary schools in Laos and found out the real life of Laos. After learning that we are Chinese compatriots, we are even more hospitable, not only helping us properly keep the leftover items, but also arranging people to help us bring them back to China and send them home, so that we can really realize that 'Laos is not far away'.
Laos is a country worth visiting, and Jinzhanba Garden Resort is the first choice for Wanrong's unmissable accommodation.

I took a half day emountain bike this morning with 2 other people. I was super excited having paid $75 for it, had high expectations... The bike itself looked fine, however it could not handle steep hills. I asked another guest on the tour to test it as I was really struggling. He said it had no oomph or power on the steeper hills. He too ended up pushing it which he didnt have to do at all on his bike at any point. The others were motoring through pain free and they were older than me. The guide tested and said it was fine. Of course. The climbs were steep and it was exhausting. We never got to stop for photos or admire the scenery and it felt like an endurance test. We were then taken on a hike to some caves but I couldn't manage it after the exertion of getting there. The guide never checked on me and just let me go down alone. There was a van with three men in it (at this point I didn't know they were going to take my bike to the next village). As a solo traveller my first thought is my safety. Here I am waiting (no phone signal) in the middle of nowhere with these three young men there. The woman in my group observed there was 'bedding in the back'. It was unacceptable. I was then deposited I'm a village somewhere (alone) and waited for the others. Please note I am fit, lift weights and play badminton in a league. I have also played semi professional football. I gave them the opportunity to make it right but as ”the guide said it was fine” it clearly was, fine. Breathtaking. I also felt the reply had a degree of judgement in it ”difficulties completing the course” like I'm a 39st unit! There are no managers/decision makers on site. A premium price for a basic product- should have just hired a mountain bike for a tenth of the price. I hate giving bad reviews and if it had cost a bit less then I probably wouldn't but I really think people should know they are rolling the dice with this company. Absolute waste of time and money. Lunch was ok. Avoid. I feel so mugged off.

Very good location! Swimming pool is nice. The room is good and clean, the staff is great and the hotel offers different tour and they help to plan everything to do around Vang Vieng. They have free bicycle available. The restaurant is really good, the menu has different choices for reasonable price. The food is good quality and breakfast Buffett is good! It is comfortable place to stay. Would definitely recommend this place.
