Sea Sense Resort

I chose Sea Sense Resort while looking for a pool villa. Before that, I also stayed at Premier Village for 2 nights. Of course, Sisense is much cheaper. Plus, the ocean view private pool is fantastic. The location is a bit remote and the accommodation is a bit old. This private pool and view alone covers all the shortcomings. The depth of the pool is as deep as an adult man's chest. You can fully enjoy it.

Quite remote from the main road hotel with a closed area along the beach. The beach is beautiful, authentic and rocky with a wide sandy beach in two places, the water is clear, there are algae in some places, the sunsets look especially beautiful here, the beach is lined with various sun loungers, a beautiful gazebo for massage on the shore, swings and hammocks, a net over the water, a raft 30 meters from the shore, free kayaks, a clean large pool in front of the beach bar, two beautiful restaurants, for breakfast on a hill overlooking the sea and a second restaurant for dinner (Sunset) at the beginning of a long beach, along which there are several types of villas. Most of the villas along the shore are double with spacious rooms, there is access to the sandy beach, on the right side of the Sunset restaurant there are villas with a direct view from the balcony to the beautiful rocky shore, a couple of villas are with three rooms, (with their own small pool on the terrace, in the middle a small room with a terrace and on the left a room with a bathroom on the terrace), the rest are double rooms with large rooms and a shower room. The disadvantage of combining rooms is soundproofing, which is not there at all, one of the reasons is thin walls and a common open ceiling in the shower room to the roof of the roof, with neighboring showers, so everything is heard in neighboring rooms. Tolerable if the neighbors are quiet. The hotel has seven categories: 1. One bedroom pool villa. (two rooms, villas to the right of the Sunset restaurant, swimming pools on the balcony, 2.Beach front villa (villas with direct access to the sandy beach, the best villas). 3.Sea view villa (large villas with sea views). 4.Ocean front villa with bathtub (villas with a rectangular jacuzzi on the balcony, sea view) 5.Panorama (large villas on a hill with an upper sea view) 6.Deluxe sea view.(the smallest in area and a small shower room) 7.Deluxe garden view (garden-view villas are in the middle, but there is a partial sea view. Claim to the hotel about some discrepancy between the information and photos of the rooms provided on the booking sites; the middle room is the smallest and is classified in the hotel as Deluxe sea view, in two aggregators this room is called “Villa with Sea View”, with an area of 50 m2, in the information there is a photo of a large bathroom with two washbasins. The actual area of the entire room is slightly more than 30 m2. Incorrect information that significantly distorts the choice when booking. And the photo of the shower room in this room is not true. In all the photos, the shower room is depicted as large and with TWO washbasins, in fact, in the Deluxe sea view, the washbasin barely fits in the corner, and the toilet is almost right next to the doors. The difference is significant, affects the choice. Either inattention in the processing of data on information, or deliberate misrepresentation by the hotel. Most likely the first, he asked the support service to fix it, they promised to inform their partners. I really liked the hotel, the nature, the coast, beautiful views, friendly and professional staff, excellent breakfasts with a variety of dishes, the chefs try very hard, everything is really tasty, aesthetically pleasing. On this trip I was in four five-star hotels, there is something to compare. Kitchen-professionals, respect. Fast WiFi with occasional interruptions in communication, a little interfered with remote work, there is no wired Internet (wire was only in Radisson). Checked the quality of tap water (water hardness tester). The lowest water hardness rating among hotels in Fukuoka where I have stayed. Water is purified by reverse osmosis, the only way to purify it almost to a distilled state, the water is very soft from the tap, comfortable for the skin. Cleanliness and tidiness on the territory and on the beach, the prices for the SPA and the restaurant are a little high, but acceptable. Sometimes there are difficulties with calling a taxi through the Grab application due to the remote location from the city center, the cost to the night market is about 250-300K. Would recommend for a relaxing or romantic getaway.

Vanuit Hanoi zijn wij naar de Golf van Thailand gevlogen, naar het Sea Sense Resort op het zuidelijke eiland Phu Quoc. Het resort omvat een prachtige tropische met tuin daarin kleine hotelgebouwtjes. Wij hebben elk een bungalowtje met een mooie grote kamer en een schitterde grote badkamer. De plek is fenomenaal, op het strand 25 meter van de waterlijn. Voor ons staat een rijtje kokospalmen. Heel romantisch, niet eerder zo idyllisch gezeten. We hebben hier vier dagen niets gedaan, boeken lezen, beetje zwemmen, eten, een biertje drinken en op de waterlijn een beetje luieren op een schommelbed. Het was helaas te warm om te fietsen. In vergelijking tot de accommodaties op het vaste land was het resort niet goedkoop en eten duur.

This is the first time I have experienced a very comfortable feeling in a luxurious place, with enthusiastic, friendly and sociable staff! The food is super delicious, fresh, the air is fresh and cool, the trees are very green! This is truly an ideal place for couples and families to travel and relax

I am writing in 2024, but I have read many reviews from 3* or less. If all of that was true, the complex has improved a lot. It was a dream!!! Book villa 101-112 and be right on the beach. After 6 p.m. there is not a soul around in March, only the guard is lying in the hammock. From villa 105 there is a stone wave on the beach, you have to go over it or walk 40m. And yes, it is a resort, so you have to take walking distances into account. But everything is here on the websites if you make the effort to read. I could have taken the photos, everything is as shown. I will go into the details: Reception and staff: Everything was great, but there should always be someone there who speaks good English, which unfortunately was not the case. A translator helps! Accommodation: everything is fine, even the temperature of the shower can be regulated, but in the mm range. It was cleaned perfectly every day. Beach: a poem. Every day it is cleaned and algae is buried. Water = 30°, pool at 33°, the beach shower helps cool down at 25°. :-) There are enough beach loungers, cushions were distributed and were clean. If there are glasses on the loungers, that is also because of "lazy guests" who could put away something they had brought themselves!!! Remote: true, but you have peace and quiet. The scooters in the resort cost €6 a day, what's so expensive about that? We rolled all over the island, it was fantastic and it was super fun to ride there like a local. MEGA! Unfortunately they don't have big helmets, so be careful!! Restaurants: there are three of them. One for breakfast (perfect), is above the pool. One right by the pool (also good) and the main restaurant from 6 p.m. below reception. This is our only criticism. There is still room for improvement in terms of chef and taste. Prices: we paid €428 for 5 nights right on the beach (Villa 102) including breakfast for two people. Can of beer in the room = 15% more expensive than in the supermarket, so it's OK. Wine is expensive, be careful. Tips: Shop at Bui, which is on the main road, top right and after about 1km on the left. Duon Dong is best on Sundays, go to the night market after sunset and then to the harbor. There you can see how traffic lessons are carried out for children aged 2-8. Don't go to the waterfalls near the airport in the dry season, there is no water there. Otherwise, for car journeys, download the "GRAB" (formerly Uber) app onto your phone. It's very cheap and very quick. We would come back anytime (both over 60) and give the text 6 out of 5 possible stars. We pinched ourselves every evening to see if everything was real!!! Ute & Eckhard
