Chateau du Village Patong

My stay here was excellent. The location is superb, making it easy to find places to eat and get around. The room was spotless, spacious, with soft, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing. The front desk staff were warm and patient, handled check-in efficiently, and responded to any issues promptly. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money. Highly recommend!

We booked two rooms and told them it was for a birthday celebration. They weren't sure whose birthday it was, but they decorated both rooms for us, which was a really thoughtful touch. The only minor issue was that the toilet drainage was a bit slow.

The hotel is relatively new, but the hygiene was quite subpar. Both of my pillows had dirty stains, which makes me wonder if the hotel staff really cleaned them properly. When checking out, they made me wait about ten minutes for someone to go and inspect the room. If you're in a hurry to catch a flight, definitely be aware of this. This point definitely gets a thumbs down.

First off, the environment is decent, the decor is nice, and the service attitude is good. However, they're not very smart at handling emergencies. We checked in during the afternoon, dropped off our luggage, changed, and left. We didn't even touch the bed; I just changed clothes on the sofa. We didn't get back to the hotel until around 2 AM. We were tired and hot, and after showering, all I wanted to do was sleep. Lying naked on the bed, I started to feel itchy. That's when I saw them—ants everywhere! Not just one, but the entire bed and sofa were covered in ants! And cockroaches too! When we reported the situation to the hotel, they initially refused to change our room. They only offered to change the bedding! Later, a staff member came, took a look, and saw that the hygiene situation was indeed quite serious. Only then did they agree to change our room. We waited another 10 minutes, and they took us to a room downstairs, right next to the elevator, saying it was the only room available. I asked if the hotel didn't have any other rooms, or if they would consider upgrading our room due to the hygiene issue, I'd even agree to pay half the upgrade fee. They absolutely refused. My understanding was (even though it's their problem and they admitted it was a hotel issue, but since they changed the room, if you're not satisfied, you just have to deal with it). After another half-hour of hassle and breaking a sweat, we ended up sleeping in the room next to the elevator. Hygiene: Seriously terrible. Environment: The common areas are actually pretty good. Facilities: Acceptable. Overall: Everything else is acceptable, except for the hygiene conditions.
