Chanalai Garden Resort, Kata Beach

Outstanding service, kind and helpful staff (esp. Jan at front desk), beautiful ocean view and awesome location! The hotel is pretty old but certainlygreat value for money, so we’re staying the whole week herel! Will definitely visit again!

It wasn't a very good experience. We arrived at around 11:30 a.m., and there were already many guests waiting to check in early. I understood that early check-in wasn't guaranteed, so I signed the necessary forms and was happy to wait until the official check-in time at 2:00 p.m. However, I noticed that several guests who arrived after us were checked in before we were. After asking the reception 2–3 times, they finally told us that our four rooms had been assigned in different buildings. If we wanted the rooms to be close to each other, we would have to wait another 2–3 hours. I wish they had informed us of this earlier instead of making us keep asking. Better communication would have made the experience much less frustrating. The hotel's location is great. The beach is just a short walk away, and there's a 7-Eleven right at the entrance, which is very convenient. Unfortunately, despite the good location, I wouldn't stay here again or recommend this hotel to my friends.

We booked the Room with the sea view and it was amazing!!! We saw the most beautiful sunset from there😍 the room was also super spacious and clean. Only downside: it’s a longer way from the lobby to the room, took us about three minutes but was so worth it! Staff was super nice, welcoming and helpful. The resort itself is so beautiful and well kept.

Great deal for the low season. Great location. Ready to clean the room every day and give fresh water etc. Very clean although our room did have this smudgy residue on the floor, not sure what that was from. Great view of the beach.

I had a very pleasant stay at Chanalai Kata Resort. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The resort has a great family-friendly atmosphere, with kids’ clubs and enjoyable daily activities, making it an excellent choice for families. I didn’t have the opportunity to try the breakfast or the hotel’s restaurants, so I can’t comment on the food. On the downside, there are many stairs throughout the property and no elevators, which may be inconvenient for some guests. The swimming pool could also be cleaner, and the sound insulation between rooms is not very good, so noise can be noticeable, especially if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, considering the price, location, and facilities, I believe this hotel offers excellent value for money. I would happily stay here again.

I had an amazing stay at Chanalai Garden Resort during my birthday getaway. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make my trip special by preparing a lovely birthday setup on the bed upon arrival. It was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly welcomed. The room offered a stunning view overlooking the beach, and waking up to that scenery every morning was unforgettable. The location is also excellent — within walking distance to Kata Beach and Kata Night Market, with a 7-Eleven conveniently located right in front of the hotel. The combination of warm hospitality, beautiful views, and a convenient location made this a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend Chanalai Garden Resort to anyone visiting Phuket and would love to stay here again in the future!
