The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa

The hotel's location is unbeatable. It's a four-minute walk to Pub Street, six minutes to Jungceylon Shopping Center, and seven minutes to Central Patong. All the dining, entertainment, and shopping you could want are right nearby. The best part is that self-drivers get free parking, which is fantastic! The breakfast is plentiful, and the service is excellent. The only downside is that the main building, especially floor 23, is incredibly noisy. A friendly tip: definitely avoid rooms ending in 01, 03, 05, or 07 – the noise will keep you up all night. Don't expect to get any sleep before 3:30 AM!

We moved from Kata around 12 PM and tried to check in, but were told our room was still being cleaned and wouldn't be ready until 3 PM. So, we left our luggage and went out. When we came back at 3 PM, one of our rooms was still being cleaned, and we were told it would be delayed by another half an hour. We actually didn't get into our room until nearly 3:45 PM. We chose the Royal Wing in the annex building. Although it said on Trip.com that it was renovated in 2024, it still felt very old. The air conditioning in the room was extremely noisy, and there were mosquitoes or small insects; I got several bites. I even found false eyelashes from the previous guest on the lamp in the room that supposedly took an extra 45 minutes to clean! What’s even funnier is that in a resort, at around 8 AM, housekeeping aggressively knocked on our door, saying they needed to clean. And the pizza plates from room service in the next room were left outside for two days without anyone collecting them. There weren't many Chinese faces at the hotel, but a lot of Middle Eastern and Indian guests. The breakfast was also quite Middle Eastern/Indian in style, though the omelette was pretty good. Regarding the location, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to Jungceylon, Banzaan Fresh Market, and the beach. However, the hotel's main entrance isn't directly on the main road. The three alleys leading to the hotel are lined with very old houses, mostly massage parlors. The alley leading to the main entrance, in particular, is full of male-on-male massage parlors. If you're bothered by this, please be aware.

Unbeatable value for money! Google Maps will lead you into an alley, and the tallest building there is this hotel. I initially booked it just for a layover, with no expectations, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. For just over 200 yuan, you can even see the sea. The lobby is huge, and there's a pool, though we didn't get to use it. The room was very clean and new. Someone was there to help with luggage right at the lobby entrance and even brought it up to our room and set it down. The front desk staff were also very friendly and welcoming to Chinese guests, even giving us afternoon tea vouchers. It was absolutely fantastic and definitely a place I'd stay at again! Too bad I didn't take any photos, but it's absolutely worth it and comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn in China.

Great location, everything's within walking distance. The hotel is large and has been around for a while, but it offers good value for money! The front desk staff had bright, welcoming smiles! There was a strong paint smell from renovations when I arrived! It was too much hassle to change to a different floor, and the view would have been worse. The front desk took a 3000 THB deposit, and they checked the room upon checkout. However, I noticed some foreign guests only paid a 500 THB deposit and didn't even wait for a room check!
