Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa

The hotel's location is pretty good, right in the lively area of Nai Yang Beach, close to the national park side. You step right out the door onto the beach. There are plenty of supermarkets and snack stalls nearby, though Nai Yang Beach is really just for relaxing – there's not much else to see or do. The hotel itself is full of greenery, which is quite beautiful, and it has several swimming pools. My room had a balcony right overlooking a pool. As for the facilities, they're just okay, but the bedding was clean. I think if you choose this hotel, you should opt for a slightly more expensive room type; the cheaper ones are in buildings further from the main pool area, and both the room type and the view will be a bit less desirable. I found the bathroom door opening inwards to be impractical, and their cleaning service wasn't great – the floor was still dirty every day with quite a lot of sand and mud. There were absolutely no Chinese guests at the hotel; 99% were Russian. The staff's attitude towards Chinese guests was quite indifferent, in my opinion. I stayed for three days, and while there wasn't overt discrimination, not a single person smiled at me, whereas they were very enthusiastic with the Russians. The hotel is really close to the airport, a 5-minute drive.

I booked this hotel near the airport last minute for my flight on the last day. First off, the value for money is really good. Hotel location: The beach is right outside the door, you can just grab a seat at any restaurant and gaze at the ocean, haha 😂. There's also a TOPS DAILY convenience store right by the entrance. This area seems to be mostly frequented by Russians; I didn't see any Asian faces. Room facilities: The bed is huge, and there are plenty of charging outlets. The bathroom drain had a slight issue. Hotel environment: Be aware that the hotel does extensive pest control in the afternoon, and the smell can seep into the rooms. There are several swimming pools, and you can borrow gray beach towels for free at the hotel entrance, which is a nice touch.

Unexpectedly, for this price, this hotel was perfect! The only thing was that there was a power outage on the day of check-in, so there was no air conditioning, but it came back on within an hour, which was good. Overall, it's super convenient, right by the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven nearby.

The hotel is about a ten-minute drive from Phuket Airport. I'd estimate that over 90% of the guests are Russian. The four pools are all quite shallow, making them suitable for families with children or non-swimmers. The pool bar's food and happy hour are definitely worth checking out. Rooms come with a hot water kettle, drying rack, and a large fridge, along with bottled water, but no toothbrushes or slippers. Right outside, there's a 7-Eleven convenience store and a Tops supermarket, plus many street food stalls. Across the road is a public beach where you can watch planes and enjoy the sunset; several popular Nai Yang Beach restaurants are also located there. The hotel's breakfast offers a good variety and is plentiful. Hotel guests get a 10% discount at the spa located right outside the hotel. Most shops on this street close by 10 PM, so it's very quiet, and there's rarely any smell of 'leaves' (cannabis/marijuana). If you're heading to the Similan Islands, pickup from here is around 8 AM, arriving at the pier about 9:30 AM.
