Just returned today from our 7 night stay here for 2 friends needing some good r&r. Hoping the below points will help anyone looking to book this hotel. If you want to stay somewhere where the people are great and the views are great, then this is the place. We were very anxious leading up to the trip seeing all the recent negative reviews, but all in all we had a great stay here. Room Pros: We had a double room in the main building with a shared terrace. The room itself has everything we felt we needed for our 7 night stay. There’s a reasonably sized smart tv which was good for the day we arrived when it was storming. It also had some pretty cool coloured LED lights around the ceiling. Cons: When we went up to our room it hadn’t been turned over for new guests, we reported this to reception straight away and they somewhat resolved this promptly. The room didn’t have an iron, but I believe you can ask and they will provide. Bathroom lightning was yellow toned, not the best when getting ready in the evenings. We were lucky and had a room at the very end, but unfortunately some guests don’t know how to talk quietly before 7am, so we were woken up quite often by them talking in the corridors and through the walls.. Around the hotel Pros: WiFi connection and speed was great throughout the hotel. Lots of things going on arranged by TUI which we can get involved in. The heated pool was also amazing! The courtesy bus was great, not sure why people are complaining about the €2 fee when it’s actually free except at times like 8am and 10pm. The views from the hotel are amazing all around, people on here complaining that there’s no shops nearby, what do you expect when you are at the very top of a hill FOR the views? Cons: After going for a walk around the grounds, we found that the tennis court could definitely do with a bit of TLC lookswise, similarly we were so excited to see the hot tubs which were clean, but not warm? Food Honestly, we don’t really understand why people are saying it was bland/boring? We never got bored of the food, was always something different for dinner, the pizza oven for lunch was great and breakfast had a massive range from fresh pancakes, eggs, fruit, pastries etc Yeah there were some times that the sunset bar was closed for lunch, but understandably this was due to weather conditions.. Reps & Hotel staff Pros: Pretty much all the hotel staff are lovely, well mannered and a good laugh to be around. Always asked what we had planned for the day etc. All the TUI reps were lovely towards us, had no issues with them and they always said hi. Cons: One particular lady at the reception we most certainly aren’t a fan of, found her quite rude. She questioned if we were sure we walked into an unprepared room when we first checked in, as if our own eyes deceived us… I asked her where we need to go for the shuttle pick up and she then stopped me after asking and rudely said ‘hi, how are we’ because we didn’t ask first…. And on the last
