We had the best vacation. Great food, friendly staff, and a heated pool. The weather wasn’t great during our stay, so we joined many of the fitness classes. The fitness instructor Frida was amazing—you could really tell she loved her job. Her aqua hiit in particular, was fantastic. Our guide, Sofie, was also so nice and helpful. If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be to have more shuttle buses running to Sorrento.

Great hotel to stay in with great staff. Food was excellent and could not fault the place. Had a really 2nd time experience there. If there is a down side it's the relying on the shuttle bus to get to Sorrento town but it was quite regular. Every day the food was extremely good and the waiters were brilliant. Themes food made it more interesting. Entertainment in the evening was better some nights than others but ok.

The good stuff. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and this helped to make the stay very pleasant. We asked about certain travel options and the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful taking the time to give us a few options. Regarding the travel options, we wanted to go to Amalfi, but the external tours were not suitable for us due to timings. But you can take the free hotel shuttle bus into Sorrento, then walk down to the port (circa 10/15 mins) and from there get the ferry (22 euros at the time of writing) this takes you into Amalfi (there is also a stop at Positano which is a lovely place also, but if you have booked a ticket to Amalfi, you can get off at Positano but can't get a later ferry onto Amalfi using the same ticket. After spending time in Amalfi you can either get a bus along to Positano or get the bus back to Sorrento (3.40 euros one way ticket). If you are not fussed about seeing the coast from the ferry you can get an all day bus ticket from Sorrento (10 euros) and take the bus to each of the afore mentioned places. When returning on the bus from Amalfi you don't have to go all the way back into Sorrento (to get the hotel shuttle bus). Instead you can get off at San Pietro, from there it's only a 20 min walk back up to the hotel. (Ask at reception they will give you a map to show where to get off). Back to the hotel... The food was amazing, plenty choices and a nice and clean restaurant. Again the staff were friendly, humorous and very attentive to any requests and made meal times very welcoming. The hotel has a very grand and palatial feel. Because it is high up on a hill the views of the surrounding area are beautiful and there is plenty of seating outside to enjoy these views. They have a nice compact gym with lots of different equipment, a bit jaded but functioning. There is also various spa facilities. We enjoyed a really good massage on one of the days. The hotel have two good sized pools (one heated) which are of a good size and are kept in a clean order. Now the downside. Our bathroom was a bit grubby, dirty grout and mouldy mastic, tatty mirror. This was not a major concern but it could definitely do with a bit revitalisation. Which would not be a major cost. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bedroom itself looked fine and clean. However the room we were in was on the basement level from which the outdoor balcony led out into the "wild" garden. I think that is where the problem lies for our room, each morning we had three or four small worms on the bedroom floor not a big deal but still unpleasant, and also there was a troop of ants on one of the walls. These things whilst not exactly pleasant were not disastrous in my opinion. Instead of complaining and asking for another room we just accepted it (which was my mistake) as on the third and fourth nights I was bitten on the legs seven times over the two nights which was very unpleasant and extremely itchy. I had noticed some ants in the

We have just come back from our stay at Nastro Azzuro Resort. With some of the bad reviews we nearly changed hotels. So glad we didn't. This hotel is on top of a mountain.... The views are to die for. Such a beautiful location. Stunning sea views to Sorrento and Amafi and over to Nepal. The hotel was well run with staff going over and beyond to assist. Reception staff friendly and polite, excellent spoken English. Free shuttle bus running daily to take you into town running up to 23.30 pm so you can experience town at night with all the shops open till 21.00 pm cafes and restaurants open till 24.00 pm. This was a great holiday with lots to do and see. Room was snug but plenty big enough for what we needed. Great shower with replenished toiletries. Stunning poolside restaurant and lots of places to lounge and relax. There was evening entertainment. The path ways are steep so comfy shoes get ready to explore. I was with my 22 year old daughter and we had no time to get bored. I would definitely go back. You can get local transfers to visit the Almafi coast we booked a local company from reception who charge less than TUI. With a meal included. The waiting staff are great fun, polite. Yes you have to wait in a line to be seated...like any restaurant back home. Well worth the money. Enjoyable friendly and relaxing holiday.

On arrival at Nastro Azzurro TUI blu 4* for my wife’s final three days of her 50th birthday celebrations, the room we were allocated was in an appalling state, the bathroom was full of black mould and in a filthy condition, the mould was even on the bedroom walls, the room was tiny and dirty and grime in the drawers. We complained to the TUI rep and reception, we was told the hotel was full but could use the spa bathroom which was at the other side of the hotel grounds. The TUI rep then said they had found us a second room in what I can only describe as living quarters for staff in the basement of the hotel. This room also had mould in the bathroom, damp on the bedroom walls and a mouldy damp foisty smell, dirty fridge, broken skirtings. At this point, my burst into tears. The following day, in the afternoon, we were given a third room, this was better, but still not 4*. This ruined our holiday. On our return, we complained to TUI through their complaints form, today they contacted us to discuss the details. After a lengthy discussion, they eventually offered us £100 holiday voucher off our next holiday, when we said this was not good enough, they said they can only offer us 10% of what the holiday was worth, but as a good will gesture, they will give us a further £100 voucher. The TUI complaints department agreed with us, that in his opinion he would have given us a full refund after seeing the photos, however policy states that he can only offer the 10%. This is not customer care, but TUI trying to avoid any real justified compensation.

This was our first visit to a TUI BLUE hotel and it didn’t disappoint. As like everyone else I was worried when reading the previous reviews. However we were pleasantly surprised. As soon as we got into reception we had glasses of Prosecco brought to us as a welcome drink, and we were able to check in before it was time. The day or 2 we had to chill out was lovely, led around by both swimming pools. The hotel staff and TUI Reps were really nice and helpful. The restaurant staff were so welcoming each night and very attentive. The food was to a high quality, and lots of choice! We loved that they offered the shuttle bus to Sorrento and back. I have no complaints and definitely wouldn’t hesitate to return to this great hotel! 🇮🇹 ❤️

We were unsure of what to expect with some negative reviews of the hotel but it exceeded our expectations. The hotel was beautiful and hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, particularly the restaurant staff. TUI staff greeted us straight away and staff brought over a complimentary glass of Prosecco and canapés. Sophia - the TUI rep was very friendly and provided helpful information to us, it was also great to have a 24/7 live chat on the TUI app. TUI reps were visible in the hotel and were approachable. Our room was great - we had a superior room with garden view. The room was freshened up daily and was clean. Staff were attentive and topped up shower gel and tissues etc. Bed was comfy. Bathroom had twin showers and twin sinks! Food was delicious with lots of vegetarian options - dinner was either a buffet or a mixture of set menu and buffet, which we loved. Restaurant staff were very attentive - we took a bottle of Prosecco out of the restaurant to the terrace on our final evening and staff brought over a new ice bucket for us within minutes! Swimming pool was brilliant with plenty of sun loungers and never too busy. It was also great that you could get beach towels from staff by the pool and change this as often as needed. TUI reps provided good entertainment, including a silent disco and music quiz, which we really enjoyed. The hotel is in a remote location as outlined but it was in a beautiful area. We opted to do the Pompeii half day excursion and a trip to Capri with TUI as they picked us up from the hotel. Our tour guides were exceptional and were very knowledgeable and friendly. We would recommend both excursions! Overall, we found our stay very relaxing and would recommend!

Just returned today from our 7 night stay here for 2 friends needing some good r&r. Hoping the below points will help anyone looking to book this hotel. If you want to stay somewhere where the people are great and the views are great, then this is the place. We were very anxious leading up to the trip seeing all the recent negative reviews, but all in all we had a great stay here. Room Pros: We had a double room in the main building with a shared terrace. The room itself has everything we felt we needed for our 7 night stay. There’s a reasonably sized smart tv which was good for the day we arrived when it was storming. It also had some pretty cool coloured LED lights around the ceiling. Cons: When we went up to our room it hadn’t been turned over for new guests, we reported this to reception straight away and they somewhat resolved this promptly. The room didn’t have an iron, but I believe you can ask and they will provide. Bathroom lightning was yellow toned, not the best when getting ready in the evenings. We were lucky and had a room at the very end, but unfortunately some guests don’t know how to talk quietly before 7am, so we were woken up quite often by them talking in the corridors and through the walls.. Around the hotel Pros: WiFi connection and speed was great throughout the hotel. Lots of things going on arranged by TUI which we can get involved in. The heated pool was also amazing! The courtesy bus was great, not sure why people are complaining about the €2 fee when it’s actually free except at times like 8am and 10pm. The views from the hotel are amazing all around, people on here complaining that there’s no shops nearby, what do you expect when you are at the very top of a hill FOR the views? Cons: After going for a walk around the grounds, we found that the tennis court could definitely do with a bit of TLC lookswise, similarly we were so excited to see the hot tubs which were clean, but not warm? Food Honestly, we don’t really understand why people are saying it was bland/boring? We never got bored of the food, was always something different for dinner, the pizza oven for lunch was great and breakfast had a massive range from fresh pancakes, eggs, fruit, pastries etc Yeah there were some times that the sunset bar was closed for lunch, but understandably this was due to weather conditions.. Reps & Hotel staff Pros: Pretty much all the hotel staff are lovely, well mannered and a good laugh to be around. Always asked what we had planned for the day etc. All the TUI reps were lovely towards us, had no issues with them and they always said hi. Cons: One particular lady at the reception we most certainly aren’t a fan of, found her quite rude. She questioned if we were sure we walked into an unprepared room when we first checked in, as if our own eyes deceived us… I asked her where we need to go for the shuttle pick up and she then stopped me after asking and rudely said ‘hi, how are we’ because we didn’t ask first…. And on the last

I've read many positive comments about the TUI Blue Nastro Azzurri hotel in Piano di Sorrento and can honestly state that they were not overstated. We've just returned from an enjoyable and relaxing week long stay in Italy with a glowing recommendation of this resort. Whether it's the luxurious rooms, the classy hotel interior and grounds, the excellent, helpful staff, the fabtastic restaurants (service and food) and those views - everything met and exceeded our expectations. Don't take our word for it, check it out for yourselves!
