Brace of Pheasants

Wonderful birthday lunch with a party of 7 family and friends yesterday. The food was delicious - we chose mainly Sunday roasts - and the vegetables particularly well chosen and tasty (good colour scheme too). Great homemade puddings. A very friendly relaxed atmosphere there in the bar looking out onto the countryside. Thank you Brace Pheasants for helping to make my day such a happy one! Penny

Matt and Co. have got The Brace just perfect. Simply that. We had an evening meal, stayed the night and breakfast too. All were excellent. Great menu with really interesting choices and very well cooked indeed. The garden rooms are huge and very well looked after. Could not wish for more. Thanks to The Brace.

We booked a table for 14 friends for dinner and drinks and we seated in the private dining room. Amazing food and service. We tried most of the menu between us and all dishes were fantastic, as were the drinks. Thank you Sophie for looking after us with professional, attentive and hilarious service, it made the night extra special.

We had an excellent stay in this lovely old but very comfortable Inn. Hospitality and friendliness could not be faulted. Real ale and a hearty breakfast - what more could you ask for!

The brace of pheasants is a charming old pub tacked away in Plush inDorset. We stayed overnight having walked 14 mile to get there. Muddy boots were catered for . Our room under the eaves was charming and the enormous bath very welcome. We had supper that evening of smoked trout,pork and chorizo casserole and sticky toffee pudding . Excellent beer from the barrel and a local cider. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked to order. Our whole stay with drinks came to £208.00.

We had a lovely stay, my wife and I taking my elderly parents to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and creature comforts in beautiful countryside. The attentive hosting by the team could not have been better, or have make us feel more welcome. The pub is at the heart of the community and we were privileged to share that atmosphere throughout. The rooms are super comfortable and the food and drinks exceptional. Altogether lovely.

We booked for an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast and thiroughly enjoyed the chilled atmosphere and hospitality of a wonderful team - with delicious produce - both drinks and food. We played cards over a delicious local pint of Two Plush Pheasants. Dinner of pidgeon skewers and venison haunch, followed by some extremely tasty cheeses, accompanied by a great selection of wines. Our room was as very comfortable and we slept so well! 💤 Breakfast lovely too, before we headed off to rxplore Dorset, from this great location away from the maddening crows in great rural Dorset. Richard gave us a nice welcome, we then met Shaun the chef from 🇳🇿, and Lydia provided high energy and incredibly warm efficient service. All backed up by the boss Matt who looked after us for breakfast - thank you 🙏 we eill be back! Fabulous ! Matt was amazing as was the food, service, room & comfort. Freezing day with frost on the roof but the warmth of welcome was unparralelled - Highly recommend a night away in this very appealing country pub & restaurant . Martyn & Karen. Bournemouth
