Wensleydale Guest Lodge, let me start off by saying - You were an absolute treat! From the moment I made my reservation up until the moment I checked out I was treated like absolute royalty. The management team, Marita & Kimberleigh, were phenomenal. The level of professionalism is unmatched and were so helpful and so friendly. Upon my check-in I was directed to local shopping centre's, nearest restaurants as well as informed of local food delivery businesses. When shown to my unit (Honeymoon Pool Suite), I walked in and was met with THE most immaculate suite. The décor is absolutely stunning, everything was clean and the linen smelt like it had just come from a professional laundromat. I am beyond impressed with my stay. The complimentary refreshments basket and toiletries upon arrival was also a lovely treat as some self-catering establishments don't offer such a wide variety of items if anything at all. Not to mention how lovely to have a small private garden off the bedroom overlooking the swimming pool area. I couldn't help but go for a walk around the establishment and noticed how beautifully maintained the grounds are. Grass greener than anything I've seen, even better smelling that the grass had been freshly mowed. The bird life, amazing! You would never say you are right in the middle of Pietermaritzburg, the tranquillity of Wensleydale Guest Lodge is on another level. I truly enjoyed my stay! The only thing I would suggest is that a new lick of paint here and there would really be the cherry on top and maybe looking into industrial ceiling fans, they work much better than standing fans. All in all, Wensleydale Guest Lodge, I will definitely be back and I will be mentioning you to all friends and family!

Superb!
A really tranquil, cosy, stunning property that makes you feel like you’re in the complete wilderness. So peaceful and the bed is probably the nicest one I’ve ever slept on. Highly recommend this beautiful property to stay at. I’ll be back again - thanks!

It was a beautiful stay, even thought we were a bit disturbed at one stage when we were told that one of the neighbor's were complaining that we were making noise. But all in all we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for hosting us.

Upon arrival we received a very good welcome and our room was very very nice neat clean and cosy,every thing that we needed was there and the place is in a nice quite area so it is just peaceful no noise. We will definately be visiting a again soon

We could not find the place at first but the lady directed us quickly to Wensleydale, we were welcomed by a very friendly staff. The room that we had was awesome and very neat, we had everything we needed....I would recommend them any time....
