Hotels near Appalachian Springs Outdoor Resort, Pigeon Forge

So I expected the basic hotel stay considering it was the cheapest hotel in the area? I had already stayed a week at one of the most expensive hotels on the strip and just decided to stay a couple days longer but save a few dollars! Everything was spotless clean compared to the more expensive hotel I stayed at the week before. I was truly shocked honestly it was such a pleasure the people were very nice and very helpful each time I needed something. The rooms sheets blankets were immaculate I mean the cleaning staff went above and beyond, the pool was stunning and it was open 24 hours which I had not seen at too many other hotels we stayed at. If you're looking for the cheapest place to stay and actually getting your money's worth especially nowadays this is the hotel for you & your family; it's everything you would expect in more for the price you pay... And it's right on the main strip 2 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and six minutes from downtown Gatlinburg! Tennesse was the BEST trip we ever went on as a family and we have been almost EVERYWHERE.

The check in kiosk was virtual, making me feel like I was staying in the ghetto, where no visible human dared show their face. My personal reaction to having to deal with another machine. The most annoying thing was that the water in the room never got hot. Sink OR shower. 4 days with a cold shower was not the experience I intended to pay for. When reported, the attendant brushed it off, saying she stayed in that unit all the time. Lady. Maybe you like cold showers. I do not. That detail alone was worth a ”never again.” No, people. It never got hot. If it is still cold after 20 minutes of running the shower at full hot setting, it's cold only. That's just not fun in October - or in any other month. There was no place to hang garments, and no hangers for them, either. Not even a space for that purpose, except for a weird wall-mounted object that looked like a fold-up table. It was not sufficient. No coffee maker in the room, and coffee in the ”lobby” was restricted to am only. Microwave and mini-fridge in the room was nice. Other than that, the place was adequate. A grocery store was nearby, as well as shopping and restaurants. Still, overall? Never again over the not-hot shower.

Great location and very clean

It was okay. They could use bigger and thicker blankets. And more pillows. Housekeeping everyday. Make the beds. Not just change the towels. Other then that had a awesome day week we was there. Will be back in August of next year. Will be up in September for bristol race

River Place Inn accommodated us with a beautiful cabin situated over looking the river with geese we were able to feed in the yard and a hot tub on back porch we enjoyed and a large king size bed we will definitely be visiting again! Also the cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and the staff was helpful. Would recommend it to everyone.
