Timbers Lodge

The best thing was the location. Walkable to the Island and attractions and restaurants. The room and grounds were very run down and the beds very uncomfortable . A coat of paint would have done wonders. I felt it was very overpriced for the condition of the property. I would not stay here again.

Where do I start... I will say the location is great, but that is all the positive I can think of. First of all, I would like to say, there should be a restroom available for the customers who are checking in and have arrived a tad early. There is not a restroom in the check-in area when you first arrive. The person on duty when we arrived at 3:15 was extremely rude and did not appear happy to be there. Do not wear white socks when you get into your rooms. The floors are absolutely filthy. Keep in mind that if you are renting a loft, it will be on the 3rd floor (keep this in mind if you are traveling with older family members). There is only one elevator, and it is also dirty and outdated. There is also only one cart to carry luggage, and it is kept outside. One morning as I was showering, I noticed that it was not draining. Imagine my disgust as I pulled a hair wad the size of a small cat out of the drain. I was mortified, but the front desk person did not seem concerned. The keycards will not work if you put them near a cell phone (It is 2024 now). We had to have our key cards changed 5 times within the first 2 days of our 5 day vacation. Kitchenette, it is not! If you plan on cooking anything, please bring an electric skillet or griddle and an extension cord as the outlets are very limited. Also if you get lucky enough to have a sink, other than your bathroom sink, it will be VERY small. The road that it sits on (corner of Wears Valley and the Parkway) is extremely busy. Pool is not as big as the picture shows and the spa is padlocked. Please plan accordingly.

The toilet was messed up. Got up in the morning and was no water in the toilet. 30 mins later it was like the sewer had pushed back into the commode. The comforter had a big yellow stain on it. Which I took pictures soon as I checked into the room. Will not stay here again

First of all the dude that checked us in wasn’t friendly. Secondly parking was awful, thirdly, the floor, table, and sheets were nasty. Fourth, the beds were so hard it was like I was on sleeping on the floor. Fifth, the ice machine should be in an inclosed space. Sixth, since when is snacks considered breakfast?

The floors were dirty, after I got out of the shower and walked across the floor a couple of times the bottom of my feet were so dirty I had to step on a wet towel to clean them off.

WE were very surprised at the accommodations we had when we arrived to Timbers. Expecting the three beds in one room we were pleased to see the loft area.

We were travelling back home to MI from south FL and booked 1 night here because they allowed large dogs. I like that they have no size or breed restrictions and have a very low pet fee. We have a very friendly, well behaved Rottweiler and it can be hard to find lodging. The area is nice, right on the river. The room we had was fair, especially for the low price. The bathroom was clean. The vinyl floor in the room was cracked and chipped and the chair in the room was very visibly dirty, I couldn't let my 6 year old sit on it. We checked in at 11pm and out at 10am so we basically just slept. It served the purpose. I would recommend new flooring and furniture. My husband didn't like that he couldn't smoke anywhere on the property (outside) but I don't smoke so I do like that 😁

My daughters and I went on a girls trip and the location of this hotel was within walking distance of The Island and was super quiet throughout the night. Will definitely be back on our next visit.
