30º Hotels - Hotel Pineda Splash

Me, my partner and our daughter have recently returned from this hotel, it was absolutely brilliant. I was a little concerned reading through the reviews but we booked following a recommendation from a friend and I am so glad we did!! All the staff (bar, restaurant, cleaners) were fantastic but the entertainment staff were absolutely brilliant and are worth their weight in gold! Our 4 year old loved the kids club and we struggled to get her out! They are kind and caring and I trusted them 100%. They did different activities and our little girl often asked when she was next going! They put in some long hours.. starting at 10am for kids club and still doing dances with the kids at 9pm! A few of them came out of their way to check when we were coming home so they could day bye! Yes.. the pool is freezing but when you are baking in 28-30 degree heat, it was welcomed!! It did not bother my daughter at all and was constantly in and out and down the slides! The rooms were spacious and clean at all times, the shower was lovely! The food is everything i expected for a 4 star hotel.. we all ate different foods each night with no complaints. I loved how the tokens for drinks worked.. no empty cups hanging around!! We went to Barcelona on the train and visited the zoo which is the best one we have ever been too! The train staff were very helpful selecting our tickets - only a 10 minute walk to the station from our hotel. We also visited Marineland which we booked at reception.. another brilliant place of seals, dolphins and water slides!! Ask reception to order you a picnic as food was very expensive. If you are thinking of booking.. do it!! You will not regret it and we would definitely return!

10 of us (including 5 kids of varying ages) stayed here for a week at the end of June. On the whole we had a great time. There were however a few things that unfortunately let the place down. Its advertised as a 4 star but having stayed in another 4 star recently this hotel didn't compare. The surrounding area is not very appealing and we were warned to be on guard with our belongings. We know of one couple that were pick pocketed near by. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but what is worrying is that anyone can walk in and out and access the corridors to the rooms. My brother came across someone peering into his open room one day, seemingly on the lookout for unattended belongings. On arrival the check-in process was slow and we had to queue for ages. The promised welcome drink never materialised and we were given key cards and told our rooms would be available at 2pm. What we were not told was that we had to go back to reception at 2pm to get the cards activated so we then had to queue again before we could get into our rooms. We were however able to leave our luggage in a safe store and use the facilities. Unfortunately our family group were separated onto different floors and there was no rooms available for us to move as it was very busy. There are floor tiles and grates that stick up all over the place causing trip hazards particularly in corridors and around the pool. The rooms were fairly clean but the showers and door seals could definitely do with a deep clean. The food is very samey and a bit hit and miss in terms of quality. Our kids all lived off pasta and ice cream for the week. The desserts were definitely the best part of every meal and there was always plenty of fresh fruit available. The "snack" bar when opened was usually the leftovers from the previous meal so I never bothered to go. I would advise heading to the restaurant 30-45mins after the sitting opens to avoid queues into the restaurant and at the buffet station itself. Drinks were varied and usually good quality although if all inclusive you had to pay a surcharge for premium drinks which is usual I guess. Bottled water was freely available throughout the day/evening. I've seen other reviews where people have complained about the drink token system but I thought this worked really well as it meant there were no empty glasses everywhere attracting wasps around the pool, and the bar areas were all clean and tidy. You get given a drinks token each which you swap for a drink, when you take your glass back you can either swap for another drink or get your token back. There was a queue at the bar at times but it usually went down quite quickly as the bar staff were very efficient. The best thing about the hotel is definitely the pools/slides and the entertainment programme. The animation team work so so hard and the kids all loved them. There was always something on throughout the day for the kids and adults such as games by/in the pool and kids club/teen zone. There

Outstanding Hotel. Staff are very friendly. Whole be venue is spotless clean. Pools are great. Rooms lovely. Our party were evidently upgraded to a 2 bed apartment to accomodate 5 but it had a poor view. The former negated the latter but this hotel has rooms facing every single direction so be prepared where you could be looking onto. Some rooms even walk out onto an area with the infinity pool. Some get the sun first thing. Some mid afternoon, some not til very late at night. The Room we had was superb. So clean. Spacious, big balcony, blackout blinds, aircon all great. Shower, toiletries, beds all high quality as was the Balcony furniture & the furniture around the pool. Because the hotel has 3 ‘blocks’ so to speak, all are only 4-5 floors tall, all with their own elevator, so the lifts never took more than a few seconds. Maybe we were just lucky. The ticket system for all inclusive worked fine. I never queued anymore than a couple minutes (!!) maybe mid June was a quiet week? Can only assume negativity re all inclusive was from people used to helping themselves to premium drinks 24/7 etc in other resoete. Not being used to All Inclusive i braced myself for it being poor but I was very impressed. SanMiguel in 450ml plastic glasses during the day & in 500ml branded SanMiguel Steins on an evening. I know of 5*+ all inclusives in the balericsnd that dont permit you a ‘pint’ at any time!? Soft drinks are all branded. House wine was palatable. Ticket system means no dirty glasses are laid around and the place is generally very clean. Ample seats but its a shame there isnt more seating in the sun of an evening At one stage I timed leaving room, going down 3 floors, getting 2 drinks to sit and have on the balcony, lift back up to the room and it was under 4 mins (!) wifi is excellent. The bar staff are super. So polite & friendly. The entertainment staff are the same. Lovely people that are a credit to 30oC Hotels & Spain. Lifeguards are brilliant too. There are shops a stones throw away selling crisps, beers, water, gifts, tat etc Negativies. The food is average. You wont starve, there are ample carbs & fruit but overall it was a tad underwhelming. Iffy meats / fish etc but they are catering for many Nationalaties not just brits so maybe thats why. Watermelon Galore every meal. Although I will say the system for entry to the restaurant works very well being shown a seat etc. it isnt a free for all like most hotels. When we arrived it was pure chaos to get kids into swim gear and store your luggage until 2pm when your room is ready. Prepare yourself for this. Despite it being nearly 30 in mid june the pools were still cool & took a bit getting used to but the Kids loved the five pools and slides etc. There is very little to do or see in Pineda imo. Its just a small basic spanish town. Beach is nearby but not that child friendly and not a patch on other beaches in mainland spain. But if you just want to come over, chill in the s

Our weeks holiday at Pineda Splash has just ended and us as a family of 5 not wanting to go home reflects highly on this hotel that we spent the week at! The hotel was clean! Both the rooms and the public areas we could not fault. The hotel staff from bar staff, entertainment team, kitchen staff, reception staff, and lifeguards-all work so hard and were all very kind and friendly. All inclusive food was tasty. Always something for us to eat at every sitting. Only thing I felt lacking was maybe a snack bar by the pool rather than the restaurant every meal. Entertainment was good and there was always plenty of things available to do. The evening entertainment was not to our taste but the kids loved the mini disco. The rooms were a little noisy at nights with the slamming of doors ect. but this was no fault of the hotel. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a family getaway!

I would firstly like to say please ignore some of the picky reviews on this hotel! It is great for families with small children, very quick check in and explanation of the system with drinks and food etc, huge selection of activities throughout the day for kids and adults included, staff were all brilliant and very friendly. The pool area and park is great as means your children can play in one secure area without you having to keep on moving about ,you can see them wherever you are sat. I would like to say a big thank you to the lifeguard team, one lady in particular kept watch of our daughter whilst me and my husband went for a swim ( in view of her) , she was great. The lifeguards are also very on it with safety and are constantly at watch by the pools. The food was great , a good selection of food, yes not 5 star but what do you expect for a family hotel. My 4 year old had a good choice each day and we only went out to eat once. The evening entertainment was varied, sometimes more for adults and some for children which was great meant we had an entertained toddler each night. If you do venture out the town is only a 10 minuite walk from the hotel and Roughly 15/20 mins to the sea front. Transport system in the area is great, we travelled via train from pineda Station to Barcelona which took roughly an hour, very easy and straightforward. The room was very clean and tidy the bathroom was big and spacious with a lovely shower area and a nice balcony overlooking the adult pool. All in all a brilliant place to take young children and we will definetly be returning!

We have just arrived home from a weeks holiday with our 2 sons age 8 & 12 Hotel was nice and clean, rooms are no where near as big as they look in pictures but a lovely size bathroom,balcony and kept clean daily. The kids entertainment team were amazing!! Bar staff and restaurant staff all worked very hard and were very friendly The token scheme for the all inclusive drinks I felt works well and helps keep the pool areas and tables etc clean with no glasses left around Check in is at 2pm which was ok for us as we arrived at 12.30ish but If you had a morning arrival it could be a bit of a pain however you do get your all inclusive bands on arrival and there is a luggage room The food we thought was really nice (for a package holiday) and better than some we have been too but by day 5 dinner was a bit repetitive. My son has a nut allergy and I found it difficult with the desserts as although the staff were helpful when I asked them,there was only one night I was shown the allergy info. It would have been really useful and reassuring if the allergy info was by each food (on the little cards that tell you what the food is) There was always plenty of sun loungers available. The only real downside was that the pools were FREEZING!!! (Yesterday was 29 degrees which made it easier getting in the water I’m sure come July/August time they won’t feel so cold) All in all we had a lovely week. We got what we payed for and was happily satisfied With kids, we would return again

Just returned after a week here with family ,we arrived at 12 mid-day and we went to a welcomed meeting where we were given a glass of cava or juice , we were given our all inclusive bands and told we could check in but couldn't get into the rooms until 2 ,check in was easy and we then spent until 2 checking the hotel out and getting food . We had two rooms and they were opposite each other on the same corridor. Rooms were very clean , cleaned everyday with fresh towels if wanted . The hotel itself is spotless, the cleaners work very hard ! Restaurant - food was as expected , always something we could eat , had to queue for food but wasn't for long . Children's entertainment staff were brilliant,they work extremely hard from morning till late at night ,always something on whether that kids club or games outside . The drinks ticket system worked very well ,you get a ticket each that you hand in for a drink ,you can return you glass for another drink or get your ticket back if you've finished , queues most of the time for the bar but never anything major , not sure how this would be in the summer holidays when it was really busy but staff do not stop ,they're very friendly. The pools were cold but once you'd been down the slides you didn't feel it and kids had great fun ,the life guards were very good and liked to have fun with the children whilst also keeping them safe . We walked into Santa Susanna one day along the fronts by the sea which was nice and we also went into Barcelona on the train , we didn't enjoy this ,1 hour 20 on a hot packed train , standing all the way ! The area around the hotel is pretty run down , we were glad we were all inclusive so didn't have to go and try and find places to eat. we would return here as the hotel was just great for the kids , we were all sad to come home !!
