Carra Beag Guest House

We chose this place by virtue of it being available and within budget, ie without much thought, but boy are we lucky we did! What a gem! Recently taken over by a really lovely couple who clearly know what they’re doing and love their jobs. The whole place was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The rooms were well equipped with snacks, kettle, fridge, even a TV with Amazon Firestick. The breakfast was just delicious, high quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We loved that each guest gets a wee form to fill out each night to order their own specific breakfast for the next day (with no extra charges for larger quantities of each ingredient) to reduce food waste and ensure everyone gets what they want. The common area was lovely and comfy with open fireplace and a fridge full of drinks and snacks. Service was so friendly and personal. Finally the location was perfect, we left our car in the car park for the whole stay as everything is within a 5-10 minute walk but the house is far enough back from the main street that there was no noise late at night. Would recommend this place to anyone, thanks for looking after us so well and we’ll definitely be back. :)

This is my 2nd visit to Carra Beag and we were pleasantly surprised to see an upgrade of the guest house. New owners Mark and Helen were very friendly, chatty, and accommodating. Very tasty breakfast, very clean rooms with a nice touch of adding complimentary slippers, bottles water and chocolates in our room. We also had a fridge in our room. We had time to spare before our train so they let us use their cosy lounge complete with a well stacked mini bar and cosy fire. Location of the guest house is only 5 minutes walk into the main street of Pitlochry. Thanks again for your hospitality we will return and definitely recommend to family and friends.😊

The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Helen and Mark are great hosts. They are cheerful, helpful and seem dedicated to guests comfort. The breakfast are really good with a lot of choice and can be heroic if your looking to do serious walking or fishing. Parking is on-site and spacious. We stayed for two nights and it was absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was spotless and really cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from with quality products. Mark and Helen the owners are the most friendly and welcoming people you can ask for which made our stay one of the best breaks we've had!!

We had a really lovely stay at Carra Beag Guest House. The new owners had been in place about 4 weeks, and were already updating some decor. They were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious! The place was really fresh and clean. We stayed in the superior double which had a lovely view, a big bathroom (walk in shower) and a 4 poster bed. Tea, coffee, and a couple of bottles of water were also included. There is a good sized car park at the back, and just a short walk into town. We look forward to staying again!

Our superior double (with queen bed) was a good size with a very comfortable bed. New owners had just taken it on and it sounds like they have wonderful plans to improve the B&B. Mark happily carried our bag up the stairs. It is very convenient to the town and parking was available. Breakfast was yummy. We enjoyed our 2 nights there.

Set above the main street with views over the valley to a set of hills, this guesthouse enjoys a good position to enjoy beautiful Pitlochry. I received a warm welcome, the cooked breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. The room was at the front on the first floor with good views, clean, but decor maybe needs a refresh. Despite being a biggish room there was no storage space apart from a few hangars so for the three nights I was there I had to live out of a suitcase on the floor. Odd but easily remedied. The current owners move on in a week so this review might be outdated quite quickly. Overall, a good experience and happy to recommend.
