My partner and I booked a studio sea view apartment after viewing modern, stylish photos online (see the first image). We were excited to try new accommodation on our return to Tsilivi, but our experience at Yannas Studios was a disaster. We arrived around 11:30 AM after a morning flight and, as expected, knew we’d likely have to wait a few hours to check in. We were told by an older woman to wait by the apartment block. A man — presumably Yannis, though he never introduced himself — arrived, asked for our booking, then told us to "wait by the pool" and walked off. We awkwardly stood there with our luggage until he returned 10 minutes later, rudely shouting, "I SAID WAIT BY THE POOL." Not once did Yannis offer to store our bags or suggest a place to change. We embarrassingly had to open our suitcases in front of other guests, fumbling to change into something more appropriate for the warm weather, we sat awkwardly on the sunbeds with all our belongings still piled around us. We weren’t even offered a glass of water during the three hours we waited to check in. Finally, Yannis summoned us to the room and sped up a hill, leaving us to drag our bags behind. When we got to the apartment, he stood in the doorway and shouted, "If you want aircon on, shut doors. Towels are for ROOM ONLY, do NOT take them to the beach or pool. The pool is open 9 AM - 7 PM." Then he left abruptly. The room was nothing like the photos (see the second image). It was basic, dirty, and outdated. There was a small double bed with a hard mattress, a child’s bed, no dressing table, and barely any storage for our clothes. The floor was filthy, with hair all over it, and the kitchen was an absolute joke—drawers full of dirty cutlery, crusty plates, and an ancient, grime-covered portable hob. The safe in the wardrobe had no key, and when I opened a random door on the wall, it led to a cement wall, indicating the room was part of a poorly split family room. To top it off, the shower was hanging off the tap, and the curtain was covered in mould. We were stunned. Feeling like we had nothing to lose, we approached Yannis to raise our concerns. My partner politely raised the issues. His response? A cold "yes" to everything. He even admitted, "The past guests probably broke the shower, but I will not fix." Then, he snapped, "If you do not like it, then leave. Just go." We were shocked and hadn’t even considered leaving until he rudely suggested it. He said we had 20 MINUTES to decide.. Frantic, we found new accommodation returned to tell Yannis in a timely matter. He shouted, "COME WITH ME," storming back to the apartment. As we gathered our belongings, he repeatedly yelled, "GET YOUR STUFF AND GO." He slammed cupboards and doors during his "inspection," but eventually refunded our money, stating, "It’s the best solution for all parties." As we left, the older woman smirked and said in Greek, "They wonder why it’s so cheap." For the record, it wasn’t. This was a horrible, disappoi
