Asterion Suites & Spa - Designed for Adults

The Asterion is quite simply a beautiful relaxing, friendly 5☆ experience. From check in through to check out the time at the hotel was fabulous. Quality of food at every sitting was out of this world. The choices available are to suit every single pallette. The bar staff were amazing as well. Using the app drinks can be ordered to your sunbed all day long in unlimited or unquestioned quantity. All drinks were branded items as well with an option to select premium brands if wanted. Pool towels were plentiful supply for use on the super high quality sunbeds. The best I have ever encountered in actual fact. The whole ambience of the place is just sublime and I would highly recommend a stay here

A very nice holiday. The location is not too far from Chania airport: a half-hour taxi ride from Chania airport. We arrived at around midnight - a quick check-in and we were shown to our suite. We were grateful for the plates of ham, cheese, veg and bread waiting for us as we had missed the restaurant hours. The suite was excellent. A decent sitting room, dining area and the bedroom next door. The bathroom had entrances from the bedroom and also off the dining area. Nicely decked out, the bathroom had twin basins, toilet and shower inside glass doors within the bathroom. Very nice. Good water pressure made the shower a good experience with plenty of room. The bed was a super king size as we have at home, which is good. A decent mattress topper made it very comfortable. Outside, we had our own pool, which is more of a plunge pool than a swimming pool which is fine. It was, however, so cold I could not get in more than shin deep. Two sunbeds, two chairs and a table kitted out the patio area nicely. It was all lit up at night very nicely and the pool a lovely turquoise light in it. The main swimming pool at the resort was also too cold for me to be able to get into. But it looked nice. There are plenty of sunbeds and recliners around the pool and a bar which will deliver drinks to your sunbed if you order via the hotel app. Nice touch. Not food or snacks though. There is a coastal footpath at the end of the bar area which leads to the beach area. Some recliners and umbrellas, the bar will also deliver here too. Very nice indeed. There are two eateries here: the main buffet area for breakfast and dinner, and a table-service restaurant area for the evening if you pre book. The evening food choice is pretty basic for a 5* resort, but the service was truly excellent. Very attentive, friendly, warm and professional. Goran and Tasos deserve a special mention - so helpful and nice. The prebooked restaurant had better food. The whole place was very clean - very important. Excellent service and a lovely setting. Recommended for a relaxing break.

Excellent boutique hotel resort but if you want restaurant choices you will be disappointed only buffet restaurant and one a la carte! Suites are lovely and the staff looks after you very well a special mention to Goran! Breakfast and lunch choices are fine but the dinner choices could be improved a bit repetitive and also a la carte one ! The outdoor swimming pool is not heated so a bit chilly and if you have a suite with the pool it is extremely cold depending on where your suite is facing ! Overall a good experience ! Spa is good also but limited choices for couples and can be quite expensive ! Nonetheless if you are looking for calm and tranquility I will recommend it 100%

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at Asterion suites and spa . We arrived early and Reception welcomed us with refreshing drinks and guided us to our room. Bed was the most comfortable we have had so far. We enjoyed ourselves at the restaurants as the staff was so friendly and food was delicious. Pool bar although so busy they have managed to serve us always with a smile giving us the best of service! We had a visit at the old town only 25 mins with taxi which was stunning ! Highly recommended!

The hotel is nice and staff were friendly however BOTH me and my partner had food poisoning on different occasions. I got the sick the first night I was there and then 6 days later my partner had the same. After spending all night vomitting with a terrible fever there was no doctor on site to see me even though at points I was loosing consciousness. It was absolutely horrible. The next day when the constant vomitting finally stopped I couldn’t eat and was constantly scared of eating something again. The hotel claimed nobody else was sick however I find this hard to believe when we heard people talking of feeling unwell. Just before my partner was sick she ordered a pork dish that was raw in the middle and had to be sent back and then recooked and then that evening was the night she had food poisoning. We spent so much money on this holiday and paid for a premium swim up room and honestly the food standard just ruined it.

Very relaxing. Adults only. Good room & bed, housekeeping really good. Pool bar does really good cocktails which can be ordered via the hotel app and delivered to sun lounger by pool or beach sun lounger. All the staff were very good. Though in a quiet area it is less than a 10 minute walk to catch the bus to Chania. Car hire is easy if you want to explore for a couple of days. The hotel is a nice place to chill and unwind, great for what we wanted.

Had a fantastic week at this wonderful hotel. Would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with no hassle and peace. The rooms were classy, exceptionally clean and with plenty of room and fabulous bathrooms. The food was fantastic too but the best thing was the staff, all of them were friendly, polite and so helpful. Thank you so much for making our stay a fantastic experience and without a doubt we will be back again and will definitely recommend to everyone.
