Coral Compostela Beach

The hotel is in the best location of the city: by the best beaches and at the same time in the heart of the city. Many restaurants and shops are a few meters away. There is also a grocery store in the building. Most of the apartments overlook the indoor pool. You have to be careful with the ones that look outside, because some of them face a noisier main road. However, among these are also the best apartments that overlook the sea. Although there are restaurants below them, they are not too noisy. The building has two floors. The disadvantage of the first floor is that guests leave in front of the terraces. The apartments are well furnished and well insulated from the neighbors. You can even go to the beach in a bathing suit. In the inner garden the beds are a bit tight, so there is no real privacy. 12 EU for two beds and a parasol on the beach.

Excellent location, great for families, everything you need in one place. Staff friendly too. Couldn't ask for more.

I don’t get why bad reviews luckily didn’t let them put me off. Lovely hotel fab location beach front room clean tidy cleaners cleaned every day staff friendly and helpful we went self catering so can not comment on the food. Would 100% stay here again.

Lovely 1 bedroom apartment with a street balcony. The room was spotless, maids came 3x even though we were only there for a 5 night stay. Upstairs bedroom with bathroom, pool view from bedroom window. No A/C but ceiling fans sufficed. Close to local amenities and direct access to the beach, lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds, appeared to have a great kids club too AAA Plentiful cooked breakfast, cereal, fresh fruits.

Great location and good clean hotel. The pool areas were cleaned each morning, swept, mopped and all chairs cleaned. The staff were the gem of this hotel, couldn’t do enough for you and always helpful. Superior room we stayed in was spacious with a nice balcony over looking the pool, housekeeping changed towels each day, bedding changed twice in the 7 days we stayed, could not fault the cleanliness of this hotel at all. Pool was great and the pool bar decent prices. Will definitely be back. For what we paid for this holiday it exceeded our expectations.

I did read the reviews before we arrived so was expecting basic and that's exactly what we got. Room drab and uncomfortable. Was advertised as sofa bed in the room but was actually an uncomfortable mattress practically on the floor. We were there 2 week and while the bedding was changed on the beds this wasn't changed once. It was so noisy too, as no air-conditioning needed door open so not much sleep over the 2 weeks. On the upside pool area lovely, lots of loungers available. Good location and lovely views (we had a sea view room). Been to Las Americas many times but think this will be the last, the resort as a whole seems to have gone a bit downhill.

Visited this hotel surprised how good this one bedroom Superior sea view apartment was the layout was nice duplex with a very good shower upstairs with a good sized bedroom, downstairs a very well equipped kitchen spacious living area with the most wonderful view of the vista ,All the staff were very friendly especially the reception would definitely come back.

Even though extremeley grieved about our stay, I will do my upmost to be fair. The hotel is seconds from the beach & honestly, for myself & hubby we found this was the only redeeming feature. Rooms....Ours was "tired" & grubby, but believe some of the rooms had been upgraded & were lovely. For anyone self catering everything you need was provided, inc a full size fridge. Dining Room.....very spacious & pleasant & whilst we was there very quiet. It appeared most were self catering. We found if you went to the dining room maybe an hour before end of service, there was very little left, plus the food wasnt replenished, was just told..they had run out. Food cold & very little choice, however for children there was always pizza, spaghetti & chicken nuggets. Tried soup every night & never actually finished the bowl, just tasteless. Entertainment....if there was an animation team, we didnt see one..the staff seemed to be totally disinterested. There was zero atmosphere. It just appeared that whoever is managing the hotel just let the staff go through the motions without any guest input. They advertise pool tables..kids club & gym. There was 5 pool tables & only 1 of any use. The others had ripped baize & full of stains. Never saw kids club opened, there wasnt any animation team for the children. (We didnt have a child with us, but trying to let anyone with families know the score. Staff.....very few staff & most was unapproachable. Housekeeping....Now this really annoyed me! We arived Tuesday for 7 days & only had a cleaner in twice! We had a build up of rubbish..struggling for towels & no toilet rolls! We actually bought some! Yet some guests told us they had cleaners in every day!! Was it because we didnt book "superior" was it because we was with jet 2...honestly dont know. NO AIR CON, which we did know about b4 booking but it was so hot. We actually hired a portable unit for the week..e80. We booked it b4 arrival & was delivered pretty much as soon as we got in the hotel. The guy that does this is Mr. Cool easily found on google. So to finalise...this hotel would be ok for self catering & ok for people who dont want any involvement with staff. The thing that annoyed me the most was the cleaning, as I said to reception, yes you are a 3 star, & yes expecations are fairly low, but toilet rolls, towel changes & rubbish removal should not have any compromise, its basic needs!

Pros' very close too beach Cons...food atrocious..staff certainly don't enjoy their work minimal entertainment..room cleaning, towels, toilet rolls spasmodic. 2 visits over 7 days & no air con. Some rooms very tatty some ok. For anyone doing self catering, if you can cope without air con this would be ok Even though we paid for half board we ended up using the restaurant a couple of times only then provided for ourselves. Think when I saw garden peas & carrots for breakfast that just did it for me!!!
