Best Hotels near Artemanos, Playa Del Carmen

Over all we had a good experience. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We had two hotel rooms and both were clean. Beds were comfortable, everyone slept fantastic. The air conditioning kept the room temperature very refreshing. We had no issues with them working properly. I gave a rating of four. A couple of reasons for this, nothing really bad. As several people have stated on here, it is an older property and needs some TLC. The doors lock properly, no problem with that. Unfortunately in both rooms, the safe did not have locks we could use. We carried our passports on us all the time. In the afternoons the pool had a murky tinge to it. Not a big deal for us because the hotel is right on the beach. We had the covered veranda room and it was literally out the door and on the soft sand. With the hotel being beach front, the staff gave us wrist bands so we didn't have to pay for any beach chairs. A bonus! Just down the beach is an ocean front pub/club. Music is played until midnight usually. You can hear it. The music didn't bother us, they played good tunes :) The hotel is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. The ADO bus station is just a block away. Close to several coffee shops. To recap, it's a nice little hotel with fantastic staff. The cleaning staff would come around daily if you wanted your room tidied up. Great ocean view with a nice breeze to help keep you cool.

This is a great little hotel. The room was very clean and had a fantastic ocean view from the balcony that had 2 chairs and a small table. The towels and bedding were clean and inviting. There was a small but pretty swimming pool. The staff was friendly. The air conditioner worked great. The mini fridge was unplugged and I never used it. The location is excellent. You walk right out onto the Parque de los Fundadores where you can buy fresh fruit from the street carts all day. There’s an ice cream/coffee shop on the corner. You are steps away from the beach, restaurants, shopping, the taxi stand, and the ADO station. I walked two blocks down the beach and got a great massage at INTI beach club for $50 USD. The front desk at Casa Melissa closes at midnight so you cannot check in after that. Also, there’s a gate on the property that closes at 11 PM and can only be opened by security. I never stayed out past 11, so I don’t know if that’s easy. The Wi-Fi is in the lobby only - not in the rooms - if that matters to you. I felt very safe as a solo traveler and was sad to leave!

A woman travels alone and finds a good location and finds it !!! The room was white and clean and tidy. It was better to have a slide door between the living room and the bed room and between the bed and the closet. There was a separate guest toilet so that couples and two friends could travel comfortably when sharing a room. Even the shampoo and body wash scents were luxurious herbs. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. I just need to buy all the detergents !!! The jacuzzi was even better in the open air and I was very reluctant to go to the beach because I was traveling alone. Breakfast was eaten at the cafe in the building, but the amount was small but the service was clean and the working people were good. It was uncomfortable that there was no iron board !!! I booked one day first and liked it and extended it one more day. It was a little expensive compared to other places, but I want to use it again!

The hotel is close to the seaside, online booking is much cheaper, there are about 10 free parking spaces, the health is good, the rooms are relatively large, the decoration is a bit old, the bathroom is not very good, there is a swimming pool, other facilities are not seen There are supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. It is very convenient to eat and buy things. There are many bars and souvenir shops on the beach.

I made a reservation for my family while they were visiting Mexico and on the email it stated that they would have until 3 am to check in. They were at a wedding in another town and could not check in until later because of the distance. Since it was already midnight and they knew they were an hour away they called the hotel numerous times because Wyndham states that you can make special arrangements with the hotel directly if you plan to check in late. No one ever answered! No big deal they will be there before 3am. They ended up getting a flat tire and it took forever to get help to fix it. Again, visiting from another Country. No one ever answered the front desk again. I called Wyndham directly and they tried calling…no one answered. My family gets there at 3:10am and are turned away and refused! Again, reservations already made for 2 rooms. They have been through a lot and stuck. The reservation department said they could not help me but to call in the morning and speak to Wyndham customer service directly. Ok, but what about my family? Luckily they found a nearby random hotel and just checked in. They have an elderly lady with them with health issues and had to deal with someone that first off never even answered at the front desk at all from 12am-3am. Not even when Wyndham reservations called. I’m sure this place is nice but I’m just annoyed because I’ve been to enough hotels all over the place to know that accommodations can be made. I’m just going to stick to Hiltons.

My friend gave me the famous Xcaret Water Park. The hotel prices on Christmas are ridiculously expensive, especially the hotels under Xcaret. So this time, apart from staying in this Xcaret Mexico (hereinafter referred to as X), the other one is not very popular with Chinese tourists. Many Iberostar Quetzal (hereinafter referred to as Q). The price of Hotel Q is less than half of that of Hotel X (of course, Hotel X includes tickets to the amusement park, whether it is worth it or not). I recommend Q more than X, which is more popular with Chinese people, has better hardware facilities, and better scenery. environment: Hotel X is a five-star hotel that Chinese people are familiar with. In contrast, Q Hotel has a feeling of being at home, the waiters are more happy and easy-going, the drinks are open for drinking, the buffet is fresh and varied, and there is basically no need to wait for a table. You can eat big lobster and oysters on Christmas Day, without being stingy at all. In contrast, the waiters at Hotel X are all business-like, and they have to wait for a table when there are not many people at the buffet. It looks like a big place, but there are few tricks to eat and drink. I also made an appointment for a Xin Gao Japanese meal. Don't expect too much. My daughter ordered an appetizer of rice, and what was served was a bowl of white rice! I ordered sashimi without wasabi, the waiter said sorry, there is no wasabi today, I will soak ginger slices for you instead of wasabi Activity: It is very convenient to go to the park under Xcaret, every 20 minutes. Large complex with several pools and dining options, though some amenities not available due to covid. Generally helpful and kind staff, one gentleman at the concierge wasn't the best but the manager was great! The beach had lots of space, places to sit and staff available for beverage service. Overall a nice place to stay!

Great location. Rooms are clean and big. Rooftop pool is great place to relax. There is a grocery store below hotel and it the best. Grocery store has hot food and tons of breads and pastries. Hotel is one street from 5th ave. Staff was friendly. Will be come back.
