Service at reception/ lobby is fantastic, helpful and friendly. Also at the pool, staff tries to do their best as many people order and I think they need more staff to service everyone. However, at the restaurant ‘La cocina’ for breakfast as well as Dinner at the Sushi restaurant: service was pretty slow, even some dishes were forgotten and we had cancelled, some food arrived cold — needs to improve the table service.
I didn’t appreciate that most of the weekly activities scheduled needed extra $.
Need proper beach place to walk along.
Is fun they have an arcade for extra entertainment.

The worst hotel ever!!!!! Poor cleaning in the room , spa in picture awesome but in reality is super dirty need more care In The amenities.....the beach I so small and full of people think twice before book in this hotel is better in this price stay in Cancun hotel zone better sea view ,better beach and not that far is 15 min from airport......this Hyatt is 1 hour and plus on the way to the airport for all the constructions in the way for the famous “train maya “

The set sea view king bed room has a pretty good view.

My room was clean but had a few rough areas. There was a weird smell (somewhat like sewage) coming from the bathroom but I only noticed it twice so didn't make a big deal about it. Overall was an excellent stay with excellent staff and service.

The Hyatt is beautiful and the location is wonderful. The pools are amazing and large enough to hold many. Our room was perfectly designed, and our deck and view of the ocean were perfect. The hotel is right on the beach, the water was a great temperature. The Hyatt has their beach cleaned daily from all of the algae that comes in. The entertainment staff, Gio and Jaidy were great leading many fun outdoor activities. Our family had a great time.

It's very noisy at one end of the property and I needed to move rooms. It's beside a loud day club that blares music with a lot of bass, until at least 7pm. It's quiet in the evening, but completely spoiled our peaceful ocean front room.
I found it odd there was no soap by the bathroom sink and when I asked for some, was told to use the body wash in the shower. I also left a pair of small, inexpensive earrings on the bathroom counter, and they were gone after cleaning. I assume they were wiped away by housekeeping, which is something I've never experienced or even thought of being careful about.
The property is clean and tidy, but it's odd there aren't enough chairs an umbrellas for all guests. At one point my daughter and I had to squeeze onto one lounger because every other lounger and umbrella at the entire restore was taken. How is this possible? Shouldn't there always be more?
It was a great location, and nice property, but I expected a bit more luxury for the price.

This is the first place in playa del Carmen that I’d stay at again! I’ve been to playa del Carmen many times and I always stay somewhere different. This place has an awesome location, right by fifth avenue and next door to Mamita’s beach. The beach itself at the hotel is as nice as mamitas plus many pool areas. I wish Travelocity gave me the option to do all inclusive is the only downfall I found. I would have much preferred an all inclusive option. The sushi restaurant was very good. La Cocina was delicious. The service as the beach was amazing, there’s a button to push when you want service and someone is there within less than a minute to take your order or get you drinks! Would definitely stay here again, but would want to do all inclusive.

This is my go to place whenever I’m in Playa Del Carmen. The location is perfect. You have great access to all the community has to offer. Just outside of the hotel, are multiple shops, restaurants, and sightseeing opportunities. The service is always great, and the rooms are excellent. This is now my sixth time staying there.

The property is beautiful and nestled next to the beach and Playa del Carmen. The location is fantastic for people interested in the party scene.
The architecture of the building is breathtaking and will be the first item of focus as you arrive.
For my own personal experience,
I’ve stayed at several 5* resorts in Cancun. The property didn’t feel as if they were catering to their customer. The general service is good and the staff is well trained, but the second you ask to make an adjustment to your accommodation they weren’t very accommodating. In my case, I left early to catch a flight for an important event. I checked out at 4P. They told me they could not even make an adjustment for charging me for an extended checkout instead of an entire day. It shows me where their priorities are.
I wasn’t able to relax at the beach since it was very crowded and there were people constantly asking me to purchase trinkets. I was able to enjoy the view from the room, however once the sun set they were playing loud music until around midnight. I didn’t mind it too much but it took away from my expectations of a 5* resort. When you arrive at your place of rest you would expect a quiet place to return.
If you’re a younger person without children and want to experience the hustle and bustle of Cancun, this resort is the place for you. My only warning is make sure to make sure you plan on staying only on the days you booked. Unfortunately, they are not very accommodating to adjustments.
