HL Rondo Hotel

Excellent hotel, everything was brand new and an impeccable standard. Particularly enjoyed the pool area and À la carte breakfast. Would recommend!

Currently staying here as a young couple holiday and so far it has been amazing! The staff have been so nice, Everything is very clean. Checking in was easy and we were asked if it was our first time in gran canaria which it is so we then got loads of information on places to go and how to get to the most popular areas. Also information on the hotel bus services. We have only yet had the breakfast at this hotel but that has been really good. Plenty of staff to help with anything you need and a good option of hot and cold foods. The pool isn’t huge but it is a good size and there is more than enough sun-beds which is good as later on in the day we were able to go out and get a bed straight away. Overall so far this hasn’t been our first holiday together but it has definitely been the most welcoming. I definitely can’t complain about anything. Wish we were staying for longer than we are.

Just returned after a 11 night stay here, was so impressed by how new and clean the hotel was. Bedrooms very spacious with lots of plugs and everything you needed. Pool area is fantastic Sun all day long and the Sun loungers are so comfortable, no need to get up early for sunbed still available gone noon. Breakfast very good standard and choice. I must say credit to staff, all work very hard in all areas of the hotel very friendly. Would definitely return as location is perfect.

My wife and I are just back from a week at this fabulous hotel. We checked in late at night with the assistance of the lady with the curly hair, and she was an absolute ambassador for the hotel. She was always smiling, helpfull, and just created a fabulous atmosphere from the start. The restaurant and bar staff, did not detract from this fabulous first impression, with each and every one of them always smiling and so nice and helpfull. The food was great quality, and we had a steak from the a la carte one night, that was cooked to perfection, the lady restaurant manager, was also fabulous, and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are a great size, beds ever so comfy, and very efficient aircon. The pool area was always able to provide us with oh so comfy sunbeds with 75mm thick cushions, the pool guys were always on hand to help with parasols etc when required, and again, always smiling when seen. Also nice relaxed atmosphere around the pool area, with no groups of loud boisterous guests. A perfect week. One minor area for improvement, which im sure can be worked out, is that one of the main courses from the H/B menu was not available on 2 nights. This is because food comes out fresh, and is not left on hotplates and thrown to waste, with helps keep prices down and is great. A system needs to maybe be developed to try and make sure guests dont miss out 2 hrs before restaurant closes. Maybe a room card or something asking guests first preference in the morning or something?. This is not a complaint, just a suggestion. As previously said, this was a fabulous holiday, in a great hotel, with absolutely superb staff. You would be very lucky to find better value than this hotel. 5*

Lovely hotel, you can tell that during renovations a great amount of detail was taken into account. The staff are very happy and chirpy which adds to the already amazing atmosphere. Breakfast is cooked in front of you - although there isn’t a huge selection, the food is great! 5 Stars from me!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were given the warmest of welcomes by the friendly female receptionist who poured us a glass of complimentary champagne and completed our check in within minutes. The main Lobby area is bright, modern and tastefully decorated. The modern decor and finishings continued throughout the hotel. Our room was larger than expected, very clean, comfortable beds and a great balcony area to enjoy the sun and views over the mountains. Every morning when we went to the restaurant for breakfast the members of staff took amazing care of us and even knew our drinks orders by the end of our holiday. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of hot and cold options all fresh and tasty! The pool area was fantastic, comfortable sun loungers and cabanas. Although we didn’t extend our stay for the last day, I did think the price for keeping our room was very reasonable. We stored our luggage in a secure room, and used a courtesy room to freshen up before leaving which was brilliant. This hotel was absolutely perfect for a young couple, the facilities were brilliant, but what really made our stay memorable was the care and attention provided by the staff; every member of staff we had the pleasure of speaking to provided exceptional customer service. I’m sorry I didn’t get any names, but we will definitely be returning in the future. No complaints at all, very happy!

I can’t praise this hotel enough! We arrived quite late and were greeted by Stefan. What a great first impression! He was very friendly and informative, gave us information about the hotel and the surrounding area. He also gave us a glass of cava which we took to the plush sofa. As he hadn’t finished the paperwork, rather than calling us back to the desk he came to the sofa to finish off. We were to find that this type of service was repeated many times by the staff. Walking into reception was also visually impressive. The hotel has gone through a total refurbishment which is contemporary and quirky. Getting to the rooms these were also great. Very spacious, lots of hangers, comfortable beds and seriously big mirrors. There is also a room safe which is free to use. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis. Here again we were greeted by Jose and Natalia (hope I have the name right) who were so helpful. The breakfast was laid out so well. There were stations for cold meats and cheeses, cereals and jams and yoghurts, pastries, fresh fruit and smoothies and a hot station with a chef cooking to order - eggs, bacon, omelettes, toasties and pancakes. To accompany this were sausages, Spanish omelettes, baked beans and fried tomatoes. We also ate in the A La Carte restaurant a few times and this was some of the best food I’ve eaten in a holiday hotel. Again service was wonderful. Restaurant staff were again so attentive- Sasha, Pilar and Gian are the names I remember. The pool area had also been refurbished with plush leather sun loungers and very up-market umbrellas. The lifeguard (Antonio?) was again very friendly and couldn’t do more for you. At the pool bar we were served mostly by Eli and Alejandro (who makes really good cocktails). The hotel is very central and there is a free bus to the beach area. Overall this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s not a party, all inclusive type of hotel but a calm, sleek and chic hotel which is so welcoming and should be really proud of all of it’s staff (there are some I haven’t named, but from the reception staff to the kitchen workers and the maids, they all work together so well to give a great experience. I would definitely return and hope to one day.

Fantastic hotel, very modern and clean. Rooms were spacious, ours had seating area with sofa too which was great when getting ready and chilling, room had mini fridge, tea/coffee/kettle facilities, wine & tumble glasses, toothbrushes, razors, hairdryer, big tv, safety deposit box, spacious wardrobes and plenty mirrors for getting ready! Balcony was on the small side and not very private with glass panels but this did not affect us as we were at pool all day & out at night. Would also have benefited from a rack to hang wet clothes after a day at pool but again this wasn’t really an issue. Pool area was lovely with comfy leather loungers and a complimentary towel available from lifeguard. Pool area was quiet when we were there as low season so no struggle for a sunbed which we liked so we could enjoy a relaxed morning without a sunbed rush although there was plenty sunbeds around the pool and then a terrace area up the steps with plenty more sunbeds and own mini whirlpools. Pool bar with variety of drinks and lovely food was great and seating area. Breakfast was a good variety, hot food, continental, pastries, breads, fruits, juices and a chef available taking requests at hot food section; omelettes, variety of eggs, bacon, crepes, pancakes. Staff in all areas of hotel were friendly, welcoming & approachable. Really made the hotel vibe. Location was great, supermarket and a few bars and restaurants were right on the hotel doorstep. Yumboo centre was a 10 minute walk away with plenty restaurants enroute, lively area. Playa de Inglés beach area was a 20 minute walk downhill, lots of restaurants and bars along the beach front. Would definitely recommend this hotel, we had a great holiday.
