Atlantic Motel

Older, family run motel with accommodating staff.Good price for a basic room. Ample parking. Excellent location -short walk to beach and restaurants. Room (#1) was small but clean. Did not use pool. Beach passes available at discount. No restaurant or coffee maker but diner across the street opens at 7am. Noticed that other rooms were larger and more updated with newer a/c. Would stay again but choose a different room -the shower water pressure in this room was not good. The a/c was efficient but noisy. Storage/Recycling close outside the door. Did not like the room spray.

Always a good experience staff is really nice. Clean rooms half a block from the beach and from town

This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've ever had. We booked a room through ******* the night before our stay. When we arrived with our children, we were told our reservation had been rejected because my credit card was supposedly declined. This made no sense to me because the payment information had been submitted through *******. We never received any notice before arriving that there was a problem with our reservation. I immediately offered to provide a different credit card, but I was then told there were no rooms available. A staff member who seemed kind and reasonable then said they actually did have two rooms available. The owner responded by telling us we were "lucky" and that we should book directly next time. Throughout the interaction, he seemed irritated that we had booked through *******. As I tried to understand what had happened and make sure I wouldn't be charged twice, the owner became increasingly agitated. I also tried explaining to my friend that there was confusion regarding the ******* rate. When I mentioned that they might not honor the ******* price, the owner became offended. Rather than calmly discussing the situation, he went to his elderly parents, who also own the motel, and told them he didn't want us to stay. Despite having traveled there with children and trying to resolve the issue respectfully, we were ultimately left without a hotel room for the night. As we were leaving, the owner said, "Ciao." Given the way we had been treated throughout the encounter, and because we are Latino, the comment felt insulting and mocking to us. I can't say what his intent was, but it added to an already upsetting experience. Booking issues can happen, but the way we were treated was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. We left feeling unwelcome and would not stay here again.

Excellent Motel very friendly family oriented and clean best motel in Point Pleasant I would greatly recommend this to any one don’t waste your time or money looking anywhere else very quiet clean and great hospitality safe area close to everything. Best housekeeping staff. Highly recommend to any law enforcement or military personnel very good motel.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED I STAY THERE LAST YEAR WAS AMAZING. THAT IS WHY I WENT BACK BUT THIS TIME I WAS TREATED VERY POOR FROM ONE OF THE OWNERS. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN ME AND MY FAMILY ARE SAD AND DISAPPOINTED.

Staff was very helpful the only thing it was not handicap accessible. We requested to be put on bottom floor due to wheelchair and they did shower was not handicap accessible nor getting to the pool but hands down the front desk

I think with the price you pay, you can get up in the morning and have a cuppa coffee, but they don’t have any coffee machines or coffee made in the office. You have to go to 7-Eleven to buy a cup of coffee I personally like a cup of coffee in the morning, so I wouldn’t stay there again. The room was OK cleaned I wiped around the sink. The floor could’ve been vacuumed. There was a lot of garbage under the table.

I booked a non-smoking room for a two-night stay, but within five minutes of entering the room it was obvious that it had been smoked in. The smell was so strong that I could barely breathe and it was completely unacceptable for a room advertised as non-smoking. As a result, I had no choice but to leave the hotel at 9:00 p.m. and find alternative accommodations at my own expense. To make matters worse, the hotel has refused to provide a refund and has ignored my emails requesting a resolution. I paid for a non-smoking room and did not receive what was advertised. Very disappointing customer service and an extremely frustrating experience. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others.

Yes. My only problem was the mattress was too hard for me and woke up with a horrible back ache. It actually woke me up in the middle of the night.
