Hotel Pokhara Grande

Overall, the room was really nice and quiet. As long as there weren't Indian kids screaming in the hallway, it was incredibly peaceful. The breakfast was just okay. There was only one sausage for meat, everything else was vegetarian or eggs. I thought it was decent on the first day, but by the second day it was mediocre, and by the third day, I skipped it because it just wasn't good. The only real issue was that as soon as I checked in, the spa and travel agency staff came over to pitch their services, which felt a bit pushy.

The welcome service was warm and started things off well, but the experience unfortunately went downhill. 1. I was traveling alone, and the package I booked didn't differentiate between double beds and king beds on Ctrip. I requested a king bed but was given a twin room. 2. A staff member used their card to open my room door while the DND sign was on. I was in the middle of changing and was quite startled. The hotel offered no apology or explanation for this incident afterward. The overall service was very disappointing.

The location is quiet yet convenient, and taxis are easy to get to various places. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and the service was excellent. There was no office worker's attitude; they all seemed to enjoy their jobs, which is completely different from what I've seen in China! I stayed for five nights and slept exceptionally well. When I woke up and opened the window, I could see Machapuchare (Fish Tail Peak) – the view was fantastic! The breakfast was quite substantial! Definitely worth staying here!

I stayed at this hotel before and after my four-day trek in Poon Hill. It's the only five-star hotel in Pokhara, offering excellent value for money. While the location is a bit out of the city and quiet, it's conveniently located near the airport. It boasts a swimming pool and gym, and the hotel's own massage center, KINJJALA, is particularly noteworthy. The service was warm and the massage therapists were professional. A deep massage after the trek relieved most of my fatigue. During our conversation, I casually mentioned my birthday, and the massage center informed the restaurant to bring me a small cake and a group birthday song from the staff while I was dining. Thank you, beautiful KUSUMU! She was a highlight of my trip.

Excellent hotel, nice grounds, pool, restaurants, everything is great. The downside is that the hotel is a bit out of the center and there's nothing nearby.
