Comimos en el restaurante del parador que es un edificio precioso con una graduable terraza aunque comimos.en el interior por el calor. La comida deliciosa mencion al rodaballo pulpo y un estupendo solomillo para terminar con los postres filloas. Muy buen servicio. Muy bien comunicado para dar un bonito paseo por el casco con sus bonitas plazas iglesias monasterio se recorre fácilmente. Hay un buen aparcamiento junto al mercado

Die zentrale Lage in der Altstadt mit viel Charme hatte es uns sehr angetan. Das hochsommerliche Wetter machte ein schönes Dinieren im Freien möglich. Das Personal zeigte sich in allen Bereichen um seine Gäste sehr bemüht. Unser Zimmer im Haupthaus hatte Stil und darf als komfortabel bezeichnet werden. Die laute Umgebung erschwerte allerdings ein Einschlafen vor 2 Uhr morgens. Als Kritikpunkt wäre das nicht Abservieren des Geschirrs am Abend auf der Terrasse zu erwähnen, dieses war beim Frühstücken auch von innen noch sichtbar und hatte natürlich Vögel angelockt. Vielleicht kann die Hoteldirektion dieses Problem in Zukunft abstellen.

We reserved a junior suite for one night. The room was pathetic and tired. Other than the little sitting area with a small, dingy sofa, it was nothing even close to a suite. Nothing at all like the photos online. Very basic. Two sinks and a small safe were the absolute highlights of the room. Two small windows with a view of a service courtyard. Don’t waste your money. The only reason for the two stars is the restaurant is pretty good. We are walking the Camino de Santiago and stayed in nicer double rooms in hostels!

Estuve alojada la semana pasada, llevo siendo Amiga de los paradores desde hace más de diez años, y por tanto disfruto mucho de este tipo de alojamientos, dicho esto puedo asegurar que el de Pontevedra es el PEOR que he visitado,el estado de las alfombras de pasillo,sucias y raidas, sumado a la imposibilidad de llegar en ascensor a las habitaciones de la primera planta (???), han hecho de esta estancia una experiencia francamente desagradable. El paso por esta ciudad del Camino Portugués asegura el cartel de completo, pero no todo vale...y más bajo el sello de Paradores.

Staying at a remodeled 16th century palace by the heart of a medieval town. What beats that? OLd world charm, the setting, gardens, furniture and art. Super attentive service from the moment you arrive. Immaculate clean rooms and comfortable bedding and towels. The restaurant is top notch. The property doesn't have parking but you can reach it with your car, they give you all the time you need to unload your luggage and there is a convenient parking five minutes walk away. Highly recommended.
