Excellent very comfortable accommodation overlooking Poole Harbour The food at both breakfast and dinner was very good as was the staff attention, and the tour around the centre was especially interesting too. Well worth the visit, and we will look forwarding to returning in the future.

4 of us went here for lunch, friendly staff, prices very reasonable - all enjoyed our meal. Had a wander around & watched training from the balcony — would book a table next time as was busy & think we were lucky to get in ok - would do the guided tour too.

A lovely location, a great room with a good view over the harbour, very friendly staff with generous breakfast, including gluten free toast for my coeliac daughter. We had a lovely time here and would happily visit again. We used it as a base to visit Kimmeridge and the Etches collection as well as some Parkrun tourism.

I have visited countless “four star” hotels around the world and given many the highest rating allowed feeling completely satisfied with the service received. Rarely have I entered a similar establishment where I have felt immediately at home and welcome and known without doubt that I was experiencing something special. I can’t explain but they seem to have everything right here from the included facilities to the service, standards of cleanliness, room provisions and layout, catering arrangements and location. I did not look for faults and was just happy to be part of this fantastic concept. After a perfect night’s sleep, a breakfast “to die for” completed one of the best experiences I have had in a hotel for a very long time.

Occupying a prime waterfront position in Poole the RNLI College is a great place to stay. All the rooms have sea views where you can see the lifeboat training activity and day to day water traffic. The nautically themed rooms are well appointed, have great plumbing and are always clean and presentable. Facilities include lounge areas, bar and restaurant and an adjacent car park as well as easy access to the college tour where you can experience how RNLI train their crew and lifeguards. There is even an RNLI gift shop. Given what they do, I'd go out of my way to stay here if in the area.

We have recently enjoyed a three-night stay at the College Hotel. The room was spotless, featuring a comfortable bed, complimentary hot drinks, and shower essentials. A fridge and hairdryer were also provided. The beautifully designed building offered stunning views of the harbour from every room, and the hotel has secure parking, though it is just a short walk from the train station. The restaurant served excellent food. Breakfast included a full buffet with a wide range of hot options, as well as cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, and pastries. We had a delightful and reasonably priced dinner from a limited but varied menu. There is also a circular bar lounge with fantastic views of the harbour and lifeboats. The highlight of our stay was a nearly two-hour guided tour of the training centre. The staff were cheerful, helpful and engaging. With all profits supporting the vital work of the RNLI, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others.

More interesting than hotels usually are. Really beautifully designed central area for food, coffee etc. Nothing is too much trouble for the personable professional staff in reception and breakfast is fantastic. Parking is free on site. Rooms are very comfortable and big windows look out onto the water, boats and sky.

Stayed here last year for a “Launch a Memory” weekend, and decided to make a return visit. It is the most friendly and amazing place we have stayed in. It is pristine clean everywhere and nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. Breakfasts are amazing - as much as you want, and dinners very sumptous, although sometimes a little limited in choice. Mention has to be made of the staff in reception - so caring and thoughtful, but special mention has to be made of Claire, who went out of her way to make sure that things were corrected when they weren’t quite going according to plan. Thank you so much. Also thanks to Anthony (I think, receptionist in Riggers) who made sure our dinner on Friday evening (18th) was exactly what we had wished for. Thank you to everyone in the College. Hope to be back again.

We found the staff all extremely helpful & friendly. Rooms all very comfortable with wonderful views over Hope Bay . Excellent restaurant, with very reasonable pricing.. Amazing talking to the RNLI trainees.. 10 minutes walk from Poole station & 5 minute walk to the Brownsea island ferry.
