Would you choose the magic of a working quay, or the hustle and bustle of a large seaside town? Choose both, and stay at the Premier Inn Hotel Poole North. Poole Quay and Bournemouth are both nearby, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds, and all the beauty of the Dorset coastline. Start the morning with a splash and go for a dip or a surf lesson. Or splash out on something special in the boutiques of Bournemouth. See the red squirrels on Brownsea Island, or the Red Arrows if you're here for Bournemouth Air Festival. Speaking of festivals, the Great Dorset Steam Fair is a must for all heritage fans too. Back at the hotel you'll find mouth-watering food at our restaurant, and a lovely comfy bed.Show More

On arrival we found a queue of people waiting to check in and the automated check-in was out of action. After waiting 20 minutes a second staff member turned up to check us in. We went to the room to find the usual sofa was missing leaving just a single straight back chair to sit on. The floor around where the sofa would normally be was badly stained. Later that evening we went back to the room to go to bed and found more problems. There wasn't any air conditioning and the windows were sealed shut resulting in a room that was unbearably hot. The bed was uncomfortable and the bottom sheet too small for the bed and had to straightened a number of times throughout the night. Only one sandpaper rough towel was provided for the two of us. The room and bathroom felt in desperate need of care and attention

Checked in on the 26th June approx 2.55pm by a miserable lady at reception. Zero customer service and friendliness. So much for a warm welcome. Awful sleep with massively creaking floorboards. Everytime the room above you or next to you walked around in their room you would get disturbed. Worst is when you’re in bed asleep and then the creaking sudden noise will disturb you again. If you want a sound full sleep I then this is not the hotel for you!! Thank you Karen that I spoke to at breakfast times who loves her job and is super friendly to every customer she speaks to. Welldone for showing premiere inn the true meaning of customer service.

What motivated me to write this review was Michelle. For me she was the icing on the cake. When travelling, for pleasure, we almost always sta, in Premier Inns because... Totally reliable bed comfort Brilliant breakfast :-because of the range of foods available AND it's self service so I can eat at a leisurely pace...I can select the quantity so avoiding food waste

Air con not working in room resulting in disturbed nights sleep hot and sweaty or traffic noise with window open. Appeared staff aware as Air con switched off on arrival and didn't come as a surprise when reported on departure

Cannot fault Premier Inns for value for money but the restaurant certainly did not live upto expectation. My wife's starter (calamari) was poor and had been cooked sometime earlier and the steak was also well over cooked and when we mentioned it they certainly tried to resolve the problem.

Disappointed that there were no ‘Plus’ rooms and there was no heating and was awakened at 6.45am in the morning when the ventilation plant was turned on. That said, the room was OK. Not happy with service in restaurant, had to ask for cutlery, especially steak knife for mixed grill and ordered latte and received black coffee. However the reception staff were very polite, helpful and overall professional, especially Ionna ( think this correct spelling) and our overall experience was satisfactory.

Zero stars. Surly receptionist who ignored people waiting. Industrial location. Tables in the bar filthy. Room lacking basic furniture (see photo). So hot couldn't sleep. Windows sealed and ac set for 19°. Premier Inn our go to hotel but this was awful.

Hotel looked good from the outside. We had a good night sleep BUT the breakfast was terrible. We went at 10am, there was a big queue to get in and when we eventually got a table there was no bread, croissants, pastries, yoghurts. £8.99 for a continental breakfast when there was hardly anything there. I asked if they were going to bring anymore food out and was told yes. When the staff member came out she brought some bread but nothing else. She said they would have to cook some more croissants, which would take 30 mins. There were no yoghurts, crumpets, pancakes, muffins in fact most of the food advertised. Plus there was no orange or apple juice and the cereals were very limited. In the end we gave up and left without eating. Really poor.
