Antelope by Greene King Inns

Just returned from another short break at the Antelope.Great location.Spotless rooms.Breakfast is excellent and lots of choice. Staff are amazing and very helpful. We use the the car park a 5 minute walk away.We wil be back! There is a brilliant bus station with routes to all the must see attraction in the area.

Best thing of all were the amazing staff!! From Craig who greeted us and great help generally, to the super cheerful team in the restaurant, Callum, Tracey, and the lady with pony tail (who's name I didn't catch) all of them were outstanding. The very nice girls who serviced the rooms! Olga, who also helped us up with our luggage. Plus Dani and Jane. They made our stay !! Our Room. number 7, was very charming, overlooking the front! Bed comfy and bathroom facilities perfect. We had breakfast every day and good choice, either a cooked one or toast, fruit and yoghurts etc. All in all we had such a lovely stay! Thanks to Sam and his team 😊

My partner and i recently visited Poole having booked into the Antelope for a week. We had an exceptionally pleasant stay and although the building is showing signs of wear and tear the manager Sam and his team made us feel so welcome always with a smile and time for a little chat. The food and drink was quality and the service excellent. We cant wait to return with hopefully less rain. Thank you team Antelope x

Our room at the Antelope was very nice and the staff were very attentive. Sadly our breakfast experience wasn’t good at all. I really don’t like to complain and didn’t like saying anything to the lovely lady who was our server that morning. She was so nice and professional and unfortunately it was the breakfast chef that badly let her down that morning. Firstly our lady server was given the wrong table number breakfasts from the breakfast chef which should have been for our table. When the error was realised she apologised and said that our breakfast would be out shortly. When we received our breakfast from the kitchen my sausages, bacon and tomato weren’t cooked, my egg was broken, and the toast wasn’t even brown. My husband’s bacon also wasn’t cooked and his eggs weren’t either. This was such a shame after having had a very pleasant stay at the Antelope. We felt that the breakfast staff let the remainder of the staff down.

Nice hotel in Poole, about halfway between the railway station and the ferry terminal so perfect for those catching the early ferry. We arrived late evening but they were excellent at seating us and giving a meal before last orders in the kitchen. Bed was comfortable and we slept well

This is not the plushest of hotels and decor and repairs really need seeing to BUT, it's was clean and the beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in whilst away and thought into a duvet, it was a double duvet on a single bed, so you didn't spend the night chasing the duvet. The room was warm as well. In total, if I was in Poole again, this is where I would stay.

Brilliant stay at the antelope we had a very large room with plenty of space al lovely shower and a lovely big TV on wall there is tea and coffee in the room . and the breakfast was very lovely and great choice on the menu especially the salmon and scrambled eggs were our favourite and we had them every day all the food was presented very well and a big thank you for the staff for there kindness and a big thank you to the cleaners for a lovely clean room and spotless they did a fantastic job😃we will come back again soon for a another holiday 😃😃
