Despite the lovely gentleman who checked us in and gave us his "secret last room", the rate of $200 for a Thursday night was a bit of a shock. Unfortunately, we were very tired after a long, very hot day of travelling, and our resistance was low! Granted, the room was a one-bedroom suite. Although very clean, it was stuffy in the extreme, the ac unit was very noisy, no shelving in the bedroom nor a tv, dodgy mattress. We took a chance and opened the tiny window (with no bug screen or security even though it was ground floor) in the bedroom, and that did help a bit. No hooks to hang things in the bathroom, no flat surface to put a washbag down. As always in hotels, tiny towels - at least these weren't threadbare. Almost worth the price of admission alone, was the shower - great water pressure and hot water, and a quiet night!
