Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas

Our stay at Peppers was so relaxing and enjoyable. The apartments are beautifully decorated and luxurious. Unfortunately during winter if you want to sit by the pool in the sun. You will struggle. The sunloungers are predominantly in the shade. You have to swap loungers throughout the day to try and stay in the sun. So unfortunately we resulted to going to the beach everyday. Which was a shame as the pool area is beautiful. We also saw lots of other guests at the beach due to the lack of sun around the loungers. So if you want to relax by the pool in the sun - during winter this will be a problem. Breakfast is also very basic.

We were greeted with smiling faces and a most helpful staff. they explained the operation of the resort and offered us a breakfast deal I had not realised I had missed. The bar staff were excellent, providing us with tropical drinks throughout our stay. The one downside as that the cafe staff lost our "reservations" a couple of days. We worked through it. Contacting the resort before our arrival, the helpful staff organized transfers from Cairns's airport to the resort.

Fantastic place to stay. Pool was cold, but they don’t heat them in winter, but that didn’t stop people from swimming. Apartment was lovely and we could jump off our balcony into the water. Restaurant was good, staff amazing and the outdoor pool with a little beach was beat especially for little kids

The hotel is really pretty, fresh, clean. Our room was spacious, clean and lovely. Staff so friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. It's our second time staying at Peppers and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There is only one complaint and that's the buffet breakfast which I wouldn't recommend at all. The coffee is great though as is the wonderful staff in the restaurant. Pool Service food was good. We can't wait to return and loved every minute.

Great location - easy access to nearby facilities- great pool area. Helpful and friendly staff. Accommodation very pleasant

Stunning location. Room amenities were great - we had two rooms (spa room and a family room) which meant we had two bathrooms, three king beds, full kitchen, laundry, tea/coffee facilities spa room, lounge, pontoon with pool recliners on the pontoon. Room service (meals and cocktails) available, as was delivery pool side for other rooms. False beach with shallow ‘sand bar’ allowed the kids to feel comfortable while playing - with the numerous pool toys and sand toys that were available from Peppers. Rooms were super clean and cleaning staff were courteous and quick. Bonus - walking distance from everything including super close to beach and main drag, underground secure car parking available and onsite booking for tours. Will definitely be back again - loved our stay.

We have stayed here before and for good reason, hotel is only about 1 min walk to the main beach, probably 5 -10 min walk to macrossan street, where you will find a heap of choices for meals and shopping, a bit more to the marina. We get 1 br apartments here, The apartments are full kitchens, laundry including washer and dryer, electric barbecue on the balcony, 2 tv everything you could need. Also always clean and tidy and very good condition, considering it can be hard to keep property’s in top condition in a tropical climate. Buffet style breakfast if you want it and don’t have the kitchen facilities which is well priced. Bedding really comfortable Air con in bedroom and another in living area if you need it. Fully serviced everyday as well. Staff really great including cleaning staff , had a problem with booking and they sorted it out, even though it was not the hotels fault. Hotel has huge pool with sand beach area which we used a couple of times but we mainly like swimming in the sea this time of year. Hotel is one of about 6 or eight in this ideal location.

Peppers Beach Club is an adequate place to stay in Port Douglas. We enjoyed the apartment style room and ample balcony space. However, the property lacked amenities that are expected at a 5 star resort (room service, valet parking, etc.). I don’t necessarily thing these amenities need to be added, but I would suggest Peppers rebrand to a family holiday lodging establishment.
