This property is portrayed as high end but it is not. Rooms lovely, comfortable, plunge pool. Location of hotel is far from anywhere. Theoretically good for romantic getaway.
HOWEVER , they offer"day passes" for $75. On Day 1, we had 2/3 families 5 kids (kids go free!), who took over the hotel's only pool (@8x4m). The 5 kids filled the pool, while their parents lounged in the adjacent bar area, leaving no room for others.
The only other hotel facility was a large soulless, restaurant - empty for most of the time. As the weather was inappropriate for sitting on the beach, it meant that there was nowhere for the hotel residents (who pay $1000 for the day) to go, other than their rooms. If you want to leave the hotel the charge is $50 return.
Also, one of the small children, wearing no nappies, had copious diarrhoea poolside and in the bar. The parents used napkins, paper towels and water to try to clear the worst of it up, but this meant that it was tracked around the bar and into the pool. The staff didn't assist. The families then simply moved table.
After 15 minutes, I asked to speak to the manager and said that it was a health risk both in the bar/restaurant and pool. He stated that his cleaning staff were busy elsewhere but would get there. After 45 mins, they finally mopped the bar but no cleaning or warnings were made about the pool.
The manager noted my issues but had no answers or compensation re paying luxury prices for minimal, unhealthy facilities.
