Man sollte eine andere Unterkunft wählen, wenn man nach 24 Stunden Anreise mit wenig Schlaf im Flieger und 2 Stunden Taxifahrt nach Port Louis ankommt und das bereits eine Nacht zuvor gebuchte Zimmer vor 12:00 beziehen will, um etwas Schlaf nachzuholen. Wir bekamen das Blaue Zimmer ("Le Bleau ") direkt neben Lobby und Rezeption - und so war nicht im geringsten an Schlaf zu denken. Das Zimmer auch die restlichen Tage sehr hellhörig: jedes Wort, jeder Schritt in der Lobby waren zu hören, abends dann noch die Geräusche aus der Küche bis ca 21:30. Die Stecker der Elektrogeräte zT gefährlich verbogen. Klimaanlage kühlt sehr gut, nur etwas laut. Der Pool angenehm groß, immer Blätter, Äste und Blüten auf dem Wasser. Positiv: das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Mietwagen und Ausflüge zu organisieren/ Vorschläge zu machen. Top das Abendessen ( täglich wechselndes 3 Gänge Menü) sehr lecker und ausreichend. Die Preise für die Getränke ( Soft Drinks, Bier) saftig, ca 3 x des Supermarkt Preises. Wein nur als Flasche, hat keiner genommen. Getränke sind Self Service, Verbrauch ist in Liste zu dokumentieren. Preise siehe Preisliste ( Foto). Frühstück ok: Brot, Toaster, Marmelade, Schnittkäse, Pancakes, Obst, Joghurt, Saft, Eierspeisen nach Wunsch. Der Kaffee hat uns nicht geschmeckt, sehr fad. Tee gibt es ebenfalls am Büffet. In der Umgebung wenig Sehenswertes. Mit dem Bus kommt man für je 70 Cent nach Port Louis - ein Abenteuer, das man erlebt haben muß! Ansonsten Mietwagen empfehlenswert, um den Süden und die südliche Mitte zu erkunden. Fazit: keine Empfehlung, schon gar nicht für 7 Nächte.

The staff was very friendly and supportive. They provided guidance and also help with tours. The hotel is pretty well run; it is very clean, quiet, and safe. It has a nice swimming pool and offers good food.

Very beautiful character villa close to Port Louis, ideally located as a starting point for visiting the island. We stayed in the red room, very spacious, with a large bathroom, mini bar, air conditioning. The bed is comfortable. Each room has its own personal terrace. The exterior is very soothing and calm with a view of the sea. (no beach) We enjoyed relaxing by the pool after each visit to the island. Deckchairs, seats, hammocks, small lounge, are at our disposal. Possibility of eating in the evening with a menu offered as starter, main course and dessert. Good food, delicious, home-cooked. The breakfasts, I loved them. Enough to start the day in style. And above all, thank you to everyone who works in this beautiful place. Thank you for your kindness. You all contributed to the success of our wonderful stay.

Wonderful place. It's a small (less than 10 room) hotel, with a family feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, and many open out onto the encircling veranda. The grounds are intimate, and while there is no direct beach access, there are nice views of the ocean. Breakfast is included, and did not disappoint- full service with choices. Dinner is also available at very reasonable prices- you can opt in to their daily special, or if that doesn't suit, there are other options available. You'll need to ask about those, however. All meals are al fresco in either the thatched dining cabana or on the veranda. There's a neat self serve bar for beer and soft drinks- for anything else ask at the front desk. Service is marvelous. The staff was very willing to help with taxis and tours, which is nice, because unless you have a rental car it's a bit off the beaten track. I highly recommend!

Old but comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. When I was there they had a cook problem but I was able to have dinner because there wasn't much around.
