The overall experience is very good. The environment, the food and the staff are nice except for kit, e.g. toothbrush is out of stock.

The hotel is nice, but going out is a bit inconvenient. The bridge will be closed in the morning and evening, and you have to wait for the shuttle bus.

Hotel facilities were good but there were bad bugs. They changed the room, but they gave me a smaller room than the originally booked two-bedroom. I did not receive any apology from the hotel, only that I did not know where the bugs came from.

A beautiful hotel on the waterfront in Port Louis. There is a free water taxi to ferry you across to the waterfront area with shops and restaurants, which is a fun way to reach the hotel. The food and drink are very good. Every single member of staff was smiling, pleasant and attentive which really makes for a happy stay. Rooms are beautiful and clean. There is a gym and a lovely pool and spa area. Lots of spots to sit by the water and enjoy the view over Port Louis. This is not a beach hotel but it’s a great base for exploring Port Louis.

The hotel is fairly nice, but makes attempts at luxury at the sacrifice of quality service. For example, it is extremely difficult to get prompt service at almost all meals because staff are often dismissive and absent, but they'll correct you on the proper use of a butter knife. The food is fairly good. The outdoor bar service is prompt.
I stayed for a week and my room was only cleaned once - the same wad of hair and pieces of small plastic were never vacuumed from the carpet.
Last, on the final Friday of my stay, the bar BLASTED music until past 23:00. Even with earplugs the bass reverberated around my room, disrupting my sleep. There were no posts or clear communication warning that this was to occur that evening.
I'm sure the hotel will respond to this review with a "we are deeply sorry and will fix this" message, however, looking back on the years of similar, negative reviews, the service ill probably continue as I experienced it.

Hansley the Noght Auditor was friendly and accommodating to our requests during the stay. He was extremely professional and ensured we were looked after. Antish made us the best coffees I’ve tasted in a long while. Beans were fresh and milk brewed to perfection 👌🏾

I spent a day pass at Le Suffren Hotel and Marina on my birthday. I must say, the service both from the spa team and the staff from Pomme De Mat was a 5-star. The relax massage was AMAZING, with special thanks to Sandrine and Neha. And the dessert at Pomme De Mat was DECADENT, with special thanks to Mr Atish. THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING MY DAY SO SPECIAL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
