The location of the hotel is average, although there is no beach at the beach, the only thing is very secluded. The yard where the hotel is located is very large and there are many houses for short and medium term rental. Hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is a bit special, the hotel lobby is not big, the bird cage inside is feeding a few birds. The service is OK. If you have dinner, there are two restaurants, one bar to choose from, and one that is open to Asian restaurants opened by Malaysians. The price of the local restaurant below is acceptable. The hotel's WIFI is very poor and often does not receive signals in the rooms.

The hotel is in ebene, similar to the high-tech park, it is convenient to the office, the hotel breakfast is OK, there is not a gym, but the facilities are more practical. Parking is very convenient with lots of parking spaces. The service staff is enthusiastic and many needs can be resolved in a timely manner.

Prices of hotels in Mauritius can be high, especially those to the coast. Palms Horel offered a quite good solution in Quatre Bornes: it’s affordable (about 60 EUR a night) and not that far from more touristic places (about 30 min drive to the Capital, Port Louis, or the beaches of Flic en Flac). We were there for a 1-week business meeting. Facilities were very good. And any issues (happened) were very quickly solved by the staff …the staff (all, from the reception desk to the hotel manager) is definitely the key of Palms. Incredibly nice and helpful. The lady managing the meeting room area (and the coffee breaks) is a gem. The man and lady keeping the bar, the ladies in the restaurant and those at the reception were so nice. The Hotel staff was so helpful to accommodate on short notice for our Muslim colleagues who started the fasting of Ramadan during the meeting). And all issues linked to payment supposed to be done in advance (meeting room, 17 bedrooms) were dealt with in full confidence when on site! Thank you for that Ms Manager! It is a pretty cozy, quiet apartment hotel nearby grandbay , Super Unmarket . I forgot the mention the kid when booking, but finally got free room cost for kid , the local owner has deep and friendly sentimental emotion to Chinese people cause his daughter was studying in China and a successful doctor in Mauritius with her fruitful medical course in China. Great hotel . But the I have to complain a little bitter breakfast , really less options and the sparrows were always flying and surrounding you to share your food .

We spent eight nights at the Coral Azur. I highly recommend the hotel. Below are the specifics. We arranged transportation to/from the airport with the hotel. We had five adults. The total round-trip cost per person was ~$40 USD. It was efficient and easy. The rides to/from the hotel took just under an hour. All communication with the hotel was efficient. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 PM. The check-in staff allowed us to eat off the buffet (closed at 10 PM) for no charge. We did not ask to eat or say we were hungry. They just said, “Help yourself.” In all of our travels, this was a first! Check-in was relatively easy. Rooms are standard size with a balcony. I think all rooms have an ocean view, which is a nice perk. Also, one can view the excellent sunsets from the balcony. Our room had a fridge, safe, good shower pressure with hot water, and toilets that flushed without problem. The pool area was nice, with plenty of chairs. The hotel has nightly entertainment. The breakfast buffet was good, with a large selection and everything one would want for breakfast, including mimosas! Breakfast and dinner, if one chooses to eat at the hotel, are in an open-air restaurant. To minimize the impact of birds, the staff provides bread outside of the restaurant. It works reasonably well but not 100%. Be prepared for birds flying around during meals. There are plenty of taxis available outside the hotel. We negotiated service with one taxi driver for the week. They took our family to town for shopping, etc. We also used them for a ride to dinner every evening. The area has several nice restaurants, but very few are within walking distance. It was more cost-effective to eat out than at the hotel. She goes over the top to make everyone feel welcome. In the morning, during breakfast, she visits every table and tries to learn about all the guests. She and I had lunch together. Hearing her story was excellent!
