We booked a two night stay Friday and Saturday before the clocks went back. We arrived just before check in at 3pm having read comments about the small car park. We had a premier plus room and had great views across the steam railway and towards the harbour. Nice to have a fridge as we like to take fresh milk. There wasn't any bottles of water in the fridge, I suppose we should have asked at reception. We booked the breakfast and dinner package, breakfast was good and nice and hot and dinner was what we expected really, but perfectly edible. The hotel was a lot busier than we thought it would be, there seemed to be a lot of people who were going to walk up Snowdon. We had a comfortable stay and will definitely return.

Lovely big room with an extremely comfy large bed.Excellent amenities and amazing view of the Ffestiniog railway. So handy having a fridge. Nice thick curtains so get a good nights sleep. Only slight complaint I would've preferred coffee in sachets rather than an Expresso machine.

A very nice hotel in a great area for local activities. Room was very nice and spacious but had one or two areas that required improvement for the price imo. The staff let us down when we reserved a table and then when we returned they claimed nothing had been booked under our name or room. They offered a later table but we decided to go somewhere else. Otherwise a good holiday let down by one or two small issues.

I am local to this hotel and often eat breakfast here. £10.99 for all you can eat and drink just cannot be beaten. The cooked choice is lovely, eggs can be scrambled or poached to order and there are all the usual items. There is also a wide choice of pastries, cereals and fruits. Fresh ground coffee, various teas and juices. Best to book in advance as they can get busy.

Excellent stay. Hotel is well sited very clean with wonderful views and a pleasure to stay in. Chris the manager is extremely helpful and went out of his way to make our stay exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for him or his staff. We will definitely be back

After reading some reviews we were very sceptical about staying here but all I can say is wow. The team work tirelessly on the reception and in the restaurant. We were greeted at reception by Chris the Deputy Manger who was lovely. Then Euron and Coina in the restaurant. We were greeted explained that the restaurant was a booking service with limited availability due to the size of the restaurant. We had no problems. The carpark is limited to 46 spaces but this isn’t owned by the hotel so when it’s free because we are guests who can complain. The rooms were very clean tidy and the view we had was incredible. Breakfast was busy but the food was great, Chris the chef (different Chris) was lovely very charming and a delight so early in the morning. All in all a great stay. We are already booked to return and can’t wait to see the team again.

Stayed at this hotel recently and was thoroughly impressed with the standard of cleanliness and service we received. The room was very clean and staff were more than happy to help is with whatever we needed to make our stay so enjoyable! Chris was extremely helpful and welcoming and took time to chat with us when we were eating and at the bar making sure we had everything we needed. Food was lovely and lots of it. Highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure

Went to Porthmadog premiere inn on the 29-9-24 for two night. I booked a table for evening meal. Next morning I was so ill. I was feeling sick & got diarrhoea. I said to my husband I need to go back home. I went to reception & told the chap I was not feeling very well asked for a refund for the night I was not going to be there. he went to enquire & came back & said no, hope you feel better soon he didn’t ask my name or room number. Today is Wednesday 2nd of October & I’m still in bed feel sick & diarrhoea. So all I can put it down to is food poisoning. I was not very happy with the service I was given.

I have stayed in many Premier Inns, but will NEVER stay here again. The car park within the curtilage of the hotel “isn’t ours” so not our problem. Parking is available over 10 minutes away from the hotel, staff just pointed to a notice on the reception desk which gave an address of a car park, find if you know Porthmadog. We were told to “use the machine” to check in and when it didn’t work “you took too long”! Given key but not told where the room was or how to get there. Went to restaurant where 4 tables were occupied, to be told it would be almost 1.5 hours wait. Breakfast was awful, hash browns that needed carbon dating. Without question the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in.
