Portimao Hotels with Free Breakfast

Modern, clean apartment with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We had daily cleaning of the apartment ”exchange of bath towels, cleaning of counters, floors and garbage collection. Some aspects that could improve, It has no magic wand, toaster, sponges and dishwashing liquid.

The room is very spacious, the environment is good, very close to the beach, it feels ridiculous that we booked a big bed room to stay for two people is normal, but the hotel said to add money, because we ordered a person, and finally was pitted 50 euros, although breakfast was sent, But I still feel uncomfortable. The room we booked is not a bed. What is the difference between living alone and living two people? In addition, the breakfast was very perfunctory and there was basically nothing to eat.

Very Clean, spacious in a great location, breakfast was good, would be nice if there were a few more options.

We arrived around 3 p.m. and the person at the reception couldn't find our reservation made through Trip.com. With a lot of anger and insistence he told us that he couldn't do anything and that we had to contact Trip.com to solve the thing with them (after 9 hours of travel and all the possible confirmation emails). While I was waiting for Trip.com to respond to us, another person called us saying that everything was in order, that they couldn't find it due to a ”computer error.” Not an apology, nothing. The room was not bad, second floor, well located. Old hotel facility, the 5 stars are not deserved, honestly, it is a current 4 star, for the price paid it is fine. Good buffet breakfast, equally good and attentive service. We had a problem one day when they didn't make the room, we had to complain at 7:30 p.m. and they cleaned it and made it very quickly (and quite ”lightly”), but, well... We cannot comment on SPA, Gym etc since we have not tried those services.

Staff very friendly and always available. The rooms immaculate, comfy beds. Restaurant was excellent with a very good variety of food and not repeated in our 2 week holiday. Communal areas very bright and airy and plenty of space. Pool area was great. This was our second visit and we were a bit worried it may not be as good as before, however we would totally recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

We stayed a week at the end of August at Jardim du Vau. The hotel is perhaps a bit tired in appearance although our room was fine. The block we were in however had the air conditioning unit sited on the balcony, which meant that you could not sit outside if you wanted to keep the rooms cool. The receptionists were all helpful although a bit of customer training would not go amiss when stuck on a phone call. On a number of occasions the receptionist was on the phone whilst guests waited. An acknowledgement that you were waiting and would be attended to shortly would be a professional touch. The restaurant and bars were, I think, franchised out and it was a mixed bag. Some of the staff (Daniel particularly) were excellent but a couple, if they smiled during the week then we missed it! The outside bar didn't open until lunchtime, a bit strange and a lost opportunity, but it's food was good. The restaurant/ cocktail bar was a different issue. There was no air-conditioning so not a comfortable environment. It did not encourage you to stay and have a drink. One evening at 2215 we asked for a cocktail but was told it was too late, even though closing time was 2300 The restaurant's organisation left a lot to be desired. The two coffee machines, when working, were incredibly slow as was the toaster. The hot breakfast was served in bain-marie's but frequently it took an age to be replenished. One morning there was a 20min wait for a scrabbled egg refill. At least it gave the toast a chance to brown! One evening we decided to try the buffet. What a disaster - the lasagne and fish had gone, leaving only the remnants of a very nice stroganoff. Some replacement dishes did finally arrive, a deep fried fish of fish cake consistency and a chicken offering along similar lines. Not impressive and didn’t bother again. Overall the hotel is a curates egg, some good bits and some not so good!

Beautiful property right on Praia da Rocha. Excellent service at check-in, was given a quick tour of the lobby and room by a wonderful gentleman. Beautiful and tidy room, stunning view from balcony, though the small bathroom window opens into the corridor and at times there is an unpleasant odour from a pipe in the toilet. Breakfast was adequate and delicious, staff were helpful and nice. Overall a great place to stay!

A truly great experience!! Room was comfortable and housekeeping excellent. Well placed with a view of the Marina. The highlight of each morning of my 5 night stay was the Breakfast. Fantastic choice and everything well cooked and presented. The staff, particularly the trainees, were always friendly and obliging. I couldn't fault anything about the Breakfast at all. The situation of the Hotel was ideal for me but might not suit everyone as it was sited out of the Town. A beautiful beach was adjacent to the Hotel and even out of season there were a variety of Restaurants nearby. All staff, the Receptionists, Restaurant staff and Housekeeping were outstanding, always greeted me with a smile and very helpful.

The hotel is again great, nice rooms, friendly helpful staff. Maintenance is still lacking a bit, although some progress was made. Due to lack of rain/water the golf course is dry and golf is played on the roots of the grass. Last year october it was green with large dry patches, this year it is just dry except for the greens. Looks like the effect of climate change is increasing and next year October we will not come again under these conditions.
