Harlow Hotel

My husband and I recently stayed at the Harlow Hotel in Portland, Oregon, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we found the accommodations to be disappointing. The room had a strange and unpleasant smell, which made my stay uncomfortable. In addition, there was no where to store our clothes. Despite the potential charm of the hotel, this issue significantly impacted our overall experience. Additionally, the service from one front desk attendant, specifically Jamie, was less than welcoming. We encountered rudeness and a lack of helpfulness that was quite surprising. A warm and professional reception is essential in hospitality, and this was certainly lacking during our stay. Housekeeping was another area of concern. The beds were not made, toilet paper was not refilled, and trash cans were left unemptied during our entire three night stay. These are basic expectations for any hotel, and their neglect reflects poorly on the hotel’s standards. We hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their services. Until then, we cannot recommend the Harlow Hotel to other travelers.

The front desk lady was flipping awesome. Super friendly and even gave suggestions of places to eat. Definitely made it somewhere we wanted to stay again.

Very friendly staff, great location with convenient parking, walkable to downtown activities and restaurants. Would recommend to anyone staying in Portland for the weekend!

Wish there were more parking opportunities that weren’t $24 a day but that’s ok. Still very nice inside!

WOW! What an unexpected pleasant surprise this is! I am in Portland for one night, and wanted a hotel to get a decent night sleep and a warm shower. Hotel Harlow is spot on! If You’ve ever stayed in a Charleston or Savannah boutique hotels, you’ll feel at home here at Hotel Harlow. Victoria was the gracious hostess that welcomed Me into this special place. The Gods willing, I expect to return during the upcoming Farwest Horticultural Expo in August. The made to order coffee is wonderful! THANK YOU! Hobo Nomad!

So one thing i hate in the usa is every hotel taking a deposit especially for one night! This one took over $100 AND 27 days on no refund for that Email for hotel bounces back (tried from 3 different email addresses) and contact form used twice from website and no reply Very very bad customer service Actual Hotel is fine in terms of staying for balance

Comfy bed, good shower, clean, friendly staff. Old building, so you hear noise from room above you. Only had one curtain, second window didn't have a curtain (Room 211), so was bright in the AM. Lot of noise on the street from homeless, not the hotels fault, but was a bit unpleasant. Location to Pearl District a plus. Great restaurant, La Fondita/De Noche around the corner. Friendly staff, convenient Cafe on the property.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet corner of downtown. Good location, fairly convenient and walkable to a lot of amenities/entertainment options

The staff was super polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean, very nice for the price and we really enjoyed our stay.
