I moved to this property after staying two nights at the much more highly rated (not my opinion), Hilton Se Cathedral (review posted) and am so glad I did. For 165 euros, 81 euros less than the Hilton, I had a fabulous experience. This property is on a quiet street in the city centre. There is very little car traffic because the street is closed to traffic in the next block. My room was comfortable with a nice bed, walk in shower and TV with many channels in English. I am Platinum Elite with IHG and was fortunate to have a top floor room with a balcony that was as large my room and had stunning views of Porto. I slept with the balcony door open both nights and it was amazingly quiet. The staff was fine and allowed me an early checkin. Restaurants, and stores abound and is not quite as touristy as by the water about .05 mile away . Metro two blocks away easy to get to Campahana Train Station. Breakfast was more than adequate with many choices. Hot dishes were limited to eggs and bacon. One dining recommendation, also about .04 mile away, Dana Pe, De Cobra. So good I ate there twice. About two months ago, I happened to see the promotional video of the hotel's opening, and then decided to walk around in Porto and booked this hotel specially. Our room is on the top floor. The balcony offers a beautiful view of Porto. The lighting design is relatively dark in the evening, which makes people very relaxing and sleepy. The bathroom accessories are great, and the towels seem to have a slight caramel smell. Full of comfortable experience. Will choose to stay in Porto next time.

Wow- what a great location and eclectic hotel. Staff was very welcoming, happy, energetic and went out of their way to offer directions and recommendations to restaurants. Clean room, crisp sheets, well maintained. The hotel itself is right across the street from the Cathedral and is central to so many tourist sites, restaurants and shops. We truly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this hotel.

I liked the most among European hotels I went to this time on my honeymoon. It's a small but lovely and very pretty hotel. When I was curious, it was said that it was built in 1829, but it is in excellent condition. It was rather antique and very good. When you open the window, the view is so pretty as if it were in a fairy tale. In the plaza in front, they perform performances, and they are gathered right in front of the bar restaurant, so the location is the best. If I go back to Porto, I will definitely stay at this hotel!! (Breakfast is tidy, but there are too few eggplants.)

What a royal style! I really like the interior design and the elevator is so interesting! Great location, walking distance to main attractions. Breakfast is good too! There is a complimentary tasting of Porto grape liqueur at the front desk and a lounge with coffee and other refreshments.

The hotel is in a great location, close to major attractions and the train station. The service from the hotel staff was poor - we booked a city view room and when we asked for a room on a higher floor, they moved us to an internal room. At that time, the price of the internal room was cheaper than the city view room we booked. When we pressed, the employee explained that both rooms were the same. Overall, the front desk service is as mechanized as a process. The room cleaning is okay, but things are missing every day. What is more worrying is the air conditioning in the room, which cannot be adjusted at will. Sometimes it shuts down automatically. The movement of the wind is so small that you can barely feel it. The windows couldn't be opened either. Don't book this place if you're afraid of being bored.

OK so we arrived very early and the whole of the front and one side of the hotel is surrounded by construction for the new metro. I really feel for the staff but they were handling it well. We did have to wait a long time to check in but that was because they wanted to give us a room away from the building work. The junior suite was great and the welcome was fab. Breakfast was stunning and the staff were adorable.

The overall experience is okay, and the price of the room is very cost-effective. The bed was very soft and comfortable. There is also a bar on the roof for tourists to relax and entertain. However, the humidity in the room is relatively high and I feel that the hotel’s dehumidification measures are not adequate.
